don’t worry come July 2nd or 3rd MLE will set up a special qualifier in Coney Island for Crazy Legs to win. Expect non threatening opposition such as Wild Bill and Pete Miernicki to show up with a few cops and fireman to make it look good . They might even pull Beautiful brian out of retirement for this one

While that scenario IS possible. I don’t think Crazylegs cares that much if he compEATs or not.
What he should be doing is taking over for Rich Shea on the broadcast. Or joining the broadcast in some capacity.
Regardless, he’ll have more tv time than anyone who eats less than 50 hdb’s.

Joe, Rich Shea is not giving up his spot in the booth for anyone . He and his brother got into this game for the very reason you just mentioned They love hearing themselves speak and love being the center of attention while at the same time try to keep a low profile. You can trust me on that one. It truly amazes me how much praise you pay to someone who really doesnt care if you live or die . If you want my personal opinion i think you would fill the broadcast booth spot quite admirably , Not saying that to be feciscious either .For the past 6yrs we have seen more than enough of crazy legs on the boob tube sporting a $5 shirt and short pants purchased from a 99 cent store going out of business . I would prefer some young blood like Bonebreaker Barlow or Ron Koch behind the mic for a long overdue change of pace. Koch analysis of the sport is far beyond those of mortal men and Super Paul? Well Watch Mad as Hell Tv . That says it all

How do you figure Shredder gets a free pass. He ate 28 HDBS. I hardly call that a free pass. I think of someothers who got a free pass.

It’s just so amazing that practically everyone qualifying for Coney this year (and last year too) could have won the Mustard Belt before 2001, projecting out these 10-minute totals over 12 minutes … how far HDB-eating has come!

Hats off to Flash. He pulled away at the end, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to catch him. The man is a great eater. I won’t be able to make Charlotte next weekend SuperPaul, but I will be in San Diego in 2 weeks.
