WLOCE announces SC hot dog contest
WLOCE.com announces that registration is now open for a hot dog eating contest that will take place at the Great Southeast Balloon Fest on Sunday, August 30. The calendar for the festival’s website says that the competition will occur on Saturday, August 30 and Hooters will sponsor a wing eating contest the following Sunday. The purse for the hot dog contest is $850 $875. Dale Boone and Jason Skrzypek are expected entrants.
The balloon festival will take place in Anderson, South Carolina which is near Clemson University. Crazy Legs Conti wore a Clemson pin in this year’s Nathan’s finals.

Boone will make sure there are no real threats in the contest to assure that nobody grabs that $850 prize. The names mentioned are no immediate threats to Boone which is what he had planned all along. It would give me great pleasure to see some aice members like Ian Hickman show up . I bet Boone would wouldnt let them compete

In a 2 to 3 minute event , Boone can put away a ton of food. I have competed against him on many occasions. The Boone hype dies out like a candle in the wind . After 5 minutes or so he becomes beatable. In the entenmans thanksgiving invitational 2004 he put away the first pie in less than 90 seconds and was ahead of all the other eaters. . After the first pie he spent the remaining 5 minutes of the contest nibbling through pie number 2. The next day he was bitching about this one cheating and that one cheating , other eaters pies were smaller than his . .SInce he has been involved in CE he has never congragulated the winner for a job well done. He is anything but a team player. I wish him the best of luck in his one dimensional organization.
