Jen Balisi reports that a woman (probably Stephanie Torres) won a cupcake eating contest held today at the Wonder Wheel in Coney Island with a total of 71 cupcakes in 8 minutes. update July 1 The Wonder Wheel facebook has a gallery confirming that Stephanie Torres was the winner. Other competitors were Eric Dahl, Ian Hickman, Joe Menchetti and Will Millender.

    All of a sudden Stephanie Torress is hanging out in Brooklyn NY of all places. Before last year she never set foot out of Santa Cruz NM CA or maybe Vegas and never even heard of Brooklyn let alone NYC

    This was an All Pro Eating contest and Stephanie Torres is the only female APE eater

    Given the All Pro connection, it’s almost definitely Stephanie. It’s odd that there doesn’t seem to be video anywhere!

    Torres is participating in the Crif Dog Classic so is likely in New York for that event.

    From Coney’s page ” All Pro Eating will have a line-up of seven competitive eaters downing vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting in eight minutes! The contest will be filmed for an episode of “DC Cupcakes” that will air on The Learning Channel”

    Even though there are results & pics seemingly everywhere. The eaters signed confidentially agreements & are not permitted to reveal the results.
