The kid is fast, but he has poor technique. In a bigger or longer battle he’d drop. Pizza was small, wings were small. He’s the best of the 5, but without real training he’s going nowhere. I’d also drop the cockiness if I was him.

These guys better get EMTs on hand for their contests or it may result in a terrible tragedy. If they truly love competitive eating, safety needs to come first or they will set back competitive eating for years to come.

I wish i knew what good pizza technique was. I would say that for a short contest it was exactly what it had to be, fast and furious. These guys weren’t asked to eat 100 wings or 20 inch pies. It was a short heat and the speed looked good. Personally i feel most contests are too short. Likely a safety issue or they just don’t want half the field to look bad when they finally get full, as everyone does if given enough time. For this reason i feel that restaurant challenges are often more grueling on the gut.

settle down big fella, this is the internet. go out tonight and do some kegstands and don’t worry about what people say about you, this wasn’t your first contest and it won’t be your last. maybe i am in a good mood tonight but i enjoyed the video, wish there was more spacing but the restaurant appeared small. i do agree though, don’t be calling out Kobayashi. I like what this college league is doing as well as LACE. Allowing some cream to rise to the top. CE is becoming increasingly popular across an intelligent sector of the population. ignore the people that don’t understand gluttony and live in their own little world of eating patterns. not sure why i am so intrigued but i liked it and the possible popularity that could result.
