What’s the entry process for these qualifiers? Open to all who attend? Limited spots? I should know these things, but I don’t.

Nate Biller, Bye your nonrefundable ticket now im sure they’ll let you in if you tell them: but I already bought a plane ticket. That’s great Nate. We’ll put you on double secret stand bye. If you don’t get in we’ll have you do a mini contest on local tv and you can help judge. Golly gee thanks Mr Shea.

According to the Nathan’s press release, it’ll be on ESPN. I’m assuming that means 7 televised events this year. Go MLE!!

Register like a normal contest? Cool. So they’ll be listed on the “Future Events” section at a later date…just like the other contests?
Believe it or not, I’m mainly asking because I want my friend to get a spot at the Philly table. He finished the Denny’s two-pounder this past weekend. He’s been bitten by the CE big time and vows that HE WILL be a competitor in next year’s Wing Bowl. I believe him too. He’s hardcore.

Nathan Biller, Kevin Ross, Russ K just chill out and relax .We realize you are new to this, but you make things complicated when you start asking stupid questions. Where is this qualifier? Nathans site has different qualfiers? blah blah . When its time to register the corrections will be made on all the qualifiers.

I think that one of the reasons that some qualifiers are replaced with new ones, with respect to location, is to beat the bushes for new talent in unexplored areas. The trade-off of losing the Norfolk, VA qualifier, in favor of the contest in Charlotte, NC is an example of this, at least in my mind. It also is a way to tap the market there.

Kick me I love it. . .why did you bring up my name as someone who isn’t “chilled out and relaxed” about the qualifiers? Wanna show me where I even made a post asking anything about them on here? I didn’t make a peep about it. If anyone seems worked up, it seems like you!

Kick me I love it,
Everyone is new once. It would have been nice if instead of wasting time mocking the questioners, you would have answered a few questions. Remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid people who won’t answer them. Newbies don’t know if Nathans or IFOCE is going to open regstration for all qualifiers at one time or one qualifier at a time. To the uninitiated, these are not stupid questions, so if you can’t help, don’t be a putz.

Egotism
The Prime Minister of the Tang Dynasty was a national hero for his success as both a statesman and military leader. But despite his fame, power, and wealth, he considered himself a humble and devout Buddhist.
Often he visited his favorite Zen master to study under him, and they seemed to get along very well. The fact that he was prime minister apparently had no effect on their relationship, which seemed to be simply one of a revered master and respectful student.
One day, during his usual visit, the Prime Minister asked the master, “Your Reverence, what is egotism according to Buddhism?” The master’s face turned red, and in a very condescending and insulting tone of voice, he shot back, “What kind of stupid question is that!?”
This unexpected response so shocked the Prime Minister that he became sullen and angry. The Zen master then smiled and said, “THIS, Your Excellency, is egotism.”

Nathan Biller the remark by anonymous was in no way supportive. It was to let you know what a fool you are if you fly to fla and the consequences that might follow

What was the lowest number of Hot Dogs that won a qualifier last year?
I recall a poll and the results were not posted .
Thanks

Sid it was 20 I think. I remember reading that Oguni from Japan had the lowest total from any of the qualifiers last year and he ate 19 or thereabouts. We will need to eat that many this year to get in too.
