Kobayashi had three years to beat Joey and couldn’t do it. Staging an event in much better conditions is just silly. Competitive eating means there needs to be competition, in other words other people next to you competing.

Awesome job by all! Pat and stonie really stepped it up but joey does it again and deserved this win! I don’t mind being the first to critisize pretty boy for disrespecting juliet on national tv. If you have a problem with someone and the way they compete take it up with mle don’t talk about someone on tv in front of millions of people. That was uncalled for and showed a huge lack of respect, sportsmanship and maturity on his part! Juliet is becoming an icon in ce but more importanly she is a human and nice person! Other than that great job everyone!

WB, it wasn’t Pete acting alone George and co wrote and produced that segment. That is the kind of show they produce. You must remember mle is a public relations firm with a client. The contest is little more than a commercial. From an insiders point of view I thought the contest was more entertaining than the past few. I also thought some eaters were so sloppy and digesting they should have been disqualified. J.Lee may be a very pleasant person but she has been caught using methods less than honest. Until she learns to eat clean this will always follow her. just today I saw her removing food ,now if I remember correctly eating meant you put food in your mouth not the other way around. I respect your loyalty but you must see things for what they really are. Last , icon I hardly think so Joey, Sonya, Pat, Bob and especially Koby those are icons

I didn’t do the proper check up but i think the debut of Matt Stonie at nathan’s finals is the best ever – but for kobayashi in 2001, followed by chip simsoms 32 in 12 min – as i remember by heart. I think that’s the most remarcable think that happened this year.
Congrats to Pat for second place, though i’m more of a Tim Janus fan :P. And of course to Joey as well.
I’m waiting for a video of Kobayashi’s performance.

If it was all in pure fun then the solution is simple include her in the segment. The way it came across was to mock someone behind their back on national tv. Obviously I haven’t talked to juiet or pete about it but I am am only saying how it appeared to the viewers on tv who don’t know these eaters or how mle works.

Pro eating is like pro wrestling. Juliet’s a great lady. Her role is to cheat, sometimes more than others. It’s all part of the schtick, and it’s her best interest to see what she can get away with. I actually thought she was going to take the top prize today. I was pulling for her, but she allowed Sonya to win. That’s how classy a lady Juliet is so please leave her alone.

Koby killed it. I can’t wait to see the entire video. Even in the past where Joey supposedly won, I don’t necessarily agree with the results (taking 2 hotdogs and just holding them up to his mouth after having already chipmunked) to try to get up to koby’s total who had everything in his mouth. All those wins were suspect, not saying joey didn’t win, but the only “clear” one where he may have actually won was with the 68 hotdogs where he was just on fire. Kobayashi coming out and dominating in the last Krystals showed just how awesome he is, and this hot dog feat was nothing short of awesome. Joey still is just “on par” with koby and I still think Kobayashi has the edge in hot dogs. I mean, the dude was eating not 2 but 3 at a time on the roof at some points, that’s how you step your number up!
