Good performance by all, big numbers, weather and HDB conditions looked favorable for the eaters, if I’m not mistaken that’s the most Collins, Subich and Myers have done in recent years…

Pulling others down does not elevate the person being defended.

Juliet gets away with what she does because she is one of two females on the circuit. That is a real shame because she has real talent. Sonya does everything by the rules, and she is clearly a better talent and eater than Juliet. Juliet doesn’t listen, begins before everyone else, moves things around and jostles others, signals winner before even announced, it goes on and on and on. Of the eaters I know, not one is not really bothered by Lee’s behaviors. She gets opportunities the males do not get because she is female and she has been known to blow many of them and ruin them for other eaters. This isn’t about supporting women or not supporting women. It is about the behavior of one eater. That behavior is horrible and should not be allowed. No one seems able to control her, that includes her husband. The Sheas are in charge. They should take better charge.

Since very few come to Juliet defense i will. This isn’t about kissing up to anyone for favors or interviews or whatever. Juliet has never uttered a bad word about anyone in competitive eating . At least to me she hasn’t. If i ask her for a short interview she never turns me down and its not because shes just trying to be polite or feels sorry for me like that one asshole keeps reiterating time and time again. So she makes a mess from time to time , she wouldnt be ranked where she is if she wasnt a good eater. . As far as costing other eaters prize money at the table, well thats the judges fault and not Juliet. If they tolerate that type of behavior maybe you should come down on them and not her. Funny how you prey on the weak . The weak that never respond back. Another point i want to bring out because maybe some of you dont know me that well or are new on the scene . An individual that posts here on occasion claims i exhaust friendships with various competitive eaters. That is correct but up to a point. If you are a true friend and not a fake one you remain a friend to me for life. So you need not worry about your good name being trashed for no reason at all. If you did something that rubs me the wrong way or i speculate something deceitful about you, then you will hear from me via my website. It wont happen right away. I give someone enough rope to hang themselves. If you are an asshole you will know about it . . I dont just screw people over unless i have a damn good reason to do so. Here are some of the competitive eaters that have remained good friends throughout the years and rarely nit pick about my commentary. Pat B, Shoudt, Sonya, Erik the Red . Toro(true blue friend) Flash, Juliet, A Morgan, Aaron Ost, Brian D Subich, Steak, Larell, Wrecking ball, Landrich Barlow. There are also the select few like Pat from Moonachie that even though i had issues with,(due to bad judgement on my part) for some reason i cant write them off because they are lovable characters. . These same names are thick skinned and rarely ask me to remove this or remove that. Normally when someone asks me to remove a comment from my site that doesn’t sit well with them, i am more than compliant. When it becomes a pattern i basically phase that individual out for good and “exhaust” the friendship. As far as the one or two mercy visits to my site , that couldn’t be further from the truth. I think my stat page speaks for itself and if they dont visit here they come to me . So its either eatfeats or BB.com and if anyone denies it then you are nothing but a follower, troublemaker and a pure hater that knows very little about me and the 8yrs of journalism and hard work i have given to the sport and more importantly to entertain the fans of the sport.

Rhonda, this same admonishment has been given to Beautiful Brian. Please don’t post the names of the friends, family and loved ones of eaters without their permission. They are not the eaters, and many of them prefer to remain out of the spotlight. Brian was wrong to speculate and post the name of a friend of Sonya claiming he was you, when we both know that is the case. Brian looks foolish when, based on his convoluted theories, he posts who he thinks that you may be. It’s also equally wrong and foolish of you to speculate that any post on this website is a friend, family and loved one of Juliet. I know the person you are talking about on your 7:26 a.m. post and he has never once had anything negative to say about any eater, like me he thinks this website can often be toxic in its hostilities towards others, and has actually has been supportive in many ways of all the MLE eaters, veterans and rookies alike.

In my case i was handed a biz card from a friend of Sonya that matched the same IP location on the geographical location of one of the visitors of my site. To ease your mind i will just say it was a mere coincidence and let the public decide. Feel better now? I prefer to drop the issue ok? As far as the gift from China , being raised as an American living in the US our values and customs are quite different from those raised in foreign countries. Forgive my ignorance but what i perceived as a cracker jack box prize has greater value and meaning to others born outside of the US especially Juliet. When i was finally lectured i realized i was wrong and apologized.. Its not the monetary value of a gift that counts . What?, yes, I never heard him say anything bad about another eater. In fact, I have personally witnessed him helping out other eaters with liquids, photo oportunities, etc. He may have bad mouthed other eaters around you, but I haven’t seen it. But the point is, and I think Brian to his credit now recognizes it, that the names of friends, family and loved ones of eaters don’t need to be exposed in this forum or any other place in the public domain. This was the unwritten rule for the most part with the old timers and people were called out for violating it. But recently it seems to have been eroded. It’s pretty simple, if you are an an eater, you wouldn’t want the names of the people you care about exposed, particularly based on speculation, just because you happen to be a minor celebrity. Say what you will about the eater, and eating, that’s fair game. But family, friends and kids, well that should be out of bounds. It’s almost as if those that do name names are trying to show off that they have some sort of insider knowlege. It’s really kind of creepy and should not be tolerated. Now, to quote from the book of Brian in his most recent post, I have moved on so lets drop the issue.

Rhonda. As you pointed out “it’s probably … but I can’t be sure.” So if you can’t be sure, leave out the name. It doesn’t add anything to your argument or position to expose someone based on speculation. Besides, wouldn’t you be surprised if that person you pointed out didn’t defend the one person he cares the most in the world about. So, really what’s the point? But, if that person chooses to remain anony, well that should be respected by those who have been trusted with inside information. Now, friends and family of eaters who choose to be in the public, such as yourself and Mrs. Conte for example, well that’s a choice you guys have made. But, if you’ve been trusted with personal information on some eater, it doesn’t reflect well on you to expose that information, particularly if you’re accusing them of things that you “can’t be sure” of. Since I’m one of those anony a-holes, as we are often referred to on this site, you may not care. But, I personally like your posts and find them interesting and entertaining. Your position on Juliet’s eating talents, or lack of, may have merit. Just leave her family out of it.

After reading through most of the posts in this thread, I am utterly exhausted. It saddens me to see the level of bickering reached, and the mean-spirited responses that you all cast upon eachother. It reflects poorly on competitive eaters (since it is assumed that most of you are either eaters, or the loved-ones thereof), and it reflects poorly on society in general. To say unkind things behind a veil of anonymity is horrible, but what saddens me most is that you hold this animosity towards each other. It is my hope that some of you will step up to the plate (ha, pun?) and put these negative feelings to an end, knowing they aren’t causing any kind of productive results and seem to simply have the goal of tearing others down.
TL;DR – Can’t we all just get along?
