A press release lists defending champion Tim Janus along with Adrian Morgan, Yasir Salem and Nate Biller as expected entrants in the tamale eating contest to be held in Lewisville, TX on September 29.

    Thank you BB for your insightful comment at 9:07. If you are not BB, okay, he seems to be the one to slam X. Why people in one organization publicly air their feuds makes no sense. I find it interesting that so many people who post here make this a place to take out their frustrations or dissatisfactions with their lives. Anonymously or otherwise, boring contest, nothing compared to MLE, zzzzz, slamming one or another eater or even family. Strange because, well it is just strange. Tearing down others doesn’t make you better or stronger or at the top of heap. These comments just leave a sour taste but then perhaps that is the intention. Too bad that people wallow in their own misery. Get on the good train guys, yeah, criticize, talk but really?

    You find all kinds of people in CE, much like riding the subway; there are no barriers to entry. While most of those involved are decent, thoughtful, warm people, CE also attracts its share of misfits and troublemakers, whose remarks are made out of jealousy, resentment, or just simple intent to harm or degrade.

    The 9:07 comment is representative of that, and it does not take a leap of faith to deduct who made it.

    Funny how Rhonda Evans posts under anonymous which she is already, then posts as Rhonda Evans two hrs later. Real classy to thro Seiken name out there so people will believe it was actually him that left that post. Seiken is not the only one that has a problem with Eater X so maybe you should look into other suspects

    Joey is on a mission this year. He is going to erase all doubt as to whether or not he is the world’s #1 eater.

    As good as X is in tamales, look for Joey to make a statement. If Tim comes within single digits of Joey, I’ll be amazed.

    I hope Tim cleans his clock but Rhonda is probably right. Joey has a certain arrogance, it seems. Joey may be also making his final stance and say, raking in the dough. I doubt that he has the ability to become a spokesperson and represent any brand. Tim could, he has the personality and good looks, is genial and well spoken, comes across really well on camera. Joey comes off kind of a like a buffoon. He has improved but not much. He garbles his words like his food. Maybe he will keep going if he has the ability to keep raking in the big bucks but he has to have developed some health problems given the amount of time he has been eating competitively. Tim seems to be in much better shape and takes better care of himself though one never knows. Joey just doesn’t look good physically, doesn’t stay in shape, looks sloppy and in pain when he eats.
