Note the bottom 3 or 4 contests from 03’& 04 and where Seiken finished. Nuff said . He was a legend back then. How soon we forget the Pasta Contest in Little Italy on Columbus Day 2003 when the Locust was crying like a little bitch that he should have got 2nd place because there was a miscount on a few of his plates. Instead of being a man and accepting the decision he complained for almost 2 weeks and demanded they go to the videotape . What a sore losing old ass

Seiken finished 3rd or 4th only when there were 3 or 4 contestants. He never was or never will be a legend, he will be forever known as the creep of competitive eating.

I’m most impressed with Yasir. He is really improving!

Uh duh 817 get your facts straight before you make inaccurate ignorant accusations. Finishing ahead of a Goldstein was and never will be a major accomplishment . Look who he beat in CB matzah balls pasta and pickles. Booker, Janus, Hardy Jarvis , Lerman Conti. Look it up jackass. Who the hell did you ever beat to win a title or better yet , who the hell did you ever beat that was a household name in the sport? Nobody Zero Nada CASE CLOSED. Next time post that sad assed name your mama gave you

So Seiken got lucky once or twice in his life back in 2002 or 2003. Really did a whole lot for him. Today, he gets beat by local no bodys and casual eaters like Bill Myers. 11 hotdogs after 17 years in CE. What a joke!

You want to keep harping on 11 hot dogs and lay a tag on the guy like Bill Buckner botched ground ball in 86 series go right ahead . At least he beat somebody at one time which is better than some of you that never beat anybody of importance in the sport. In life bullies back off when someone comes to their defense and sooner or later the bully becomes the target .

The stats about BB were pointed out only because some of you idiots that know very little about the sport claim he never beat anyone anywhere anytime .

Anyone that is Jewish should not be commenting on here tonight. It is a holy holiday They should not be watching television They should be fasting and praying in the synagogue. It is a sin if you dont

I will bet that Dave Goldstein is not observing the holiday. I will also bet that he is not in the temple praying and not fasting. A disgrace

If this holiday is so holy and you are a Jew, then why are you on the internet? That is prohibited also. You should be in the temple davening and fasting . Brushing teeth is prohibited also

Wow I can’t believe Joey finally won one, after having his ass handed to him by Stonie multiple times, and having cowered from a head-to-head with Sudo recently.

Rich, I couldn’t sleep so I went on here for some laughs and then I saw your comment. I will respond to you because you were adult enough to post your name. I have lost to stonie but only in smaller events. If you look at the spread between the two of us in a contest with a large sponsor or purse, there is a sizable gap between me and him. with most eaters, I know what they are capable of and I train accordingly for the contest. Matt and Miki are awesome new eaters and I have not figured out exactly what to expect from them. Soooo, in way you are right… I should thank stonie for not showing, because I would have had to put in a little more prep time to guarantee a win for the contest, not because he would have won. Take care. I’ll let you know the next time i’m in your area, I want to eat that steak at the monte carlo.

No disrespect was intended when I made that comment, Joey. I just think it would have been a toss-up if Matt had been there.

I see Matt as the best “new” eater since Joey Chestnut. I see Joey on a higher rung, however, with Kobayashi, and I view Matt by himself, ahead of the rest of the pack.
Matt will never touch Joey in HDBs—-won’t happen, ever (unless Joey is hung over). But in a third to a half of the events, Joey has to be at his best to defeat Matt. And when Joey is at his best, no one in MLE can touch him in any contest, unless he just abhors eating the food in competition (like kimchi).
