Erik is definitely not a wannabe. 8.5 pounds is a lot for an 8 minute contest – let alone your first one! The people that placed ahead of him are top quality eaters with quite a bit of experience and he wasn’t all that far behind them.

Any one with a 1lb or 11 hotdog capacity and only achievement a non sanctioned pickle title from 15 years ago and who consistently comes in dead last cannot be considered a competitive eater. Maybe a CE wanne be, a CE groupie, or perhaps a side kick.

The grudge Seiken has against Goldstein because Goldstein dumped Seiken as a friend and rejected his tearful apology shouldn’t change the facts. Goldstein, a 5 time Nathan’s finalist, ate 25+ hotdogs numerous times, (let’s see Seiken come close to that even once), made more $$ with CE than Seiken will ever see even if he sticks around for another 20 years. 9 hotdogs in 2003 and 28.75 hotdogs in 2010 suggests steady improvement. 11 hotdogs now and forever shows loser. Time to retire.

Seiken apologized one time and one time only. Be grateful that he got that apology because Seiken apologizes to nobody and to be quite honest its Goldstein that should have apologized to Seiken and not the other way around. I’ve been in my fair share of pointless internet arguments and online keyboard wars over the past few years, and think of this as nothing different. I will just say that I am proud of who I am, and what I have accomplished in my life. During the course of my eating disorder and struggles with anorexia, I almost lost my life (multiple times) and will never get those years of my youth back. I have a story to tell, and I have a message that I want to send to everyone that was suffering from everything that I was. That fought the same demons that I fought and that “existed” as I used to “exist” (if you ask any anorexic, you do not LIVE with anorexia.. you simply exist).
I will continue doing what I do, showing everyone that knows my story and knows of my past struggles that it truly IS possible to overcome such a devastating and mentally debilitating mental disorder, and that life really can be lived on ones own terms once again. You DID misinterpret my past, in so many ways and have made a large amount of assumptions without warrant. You can continue on making yourself look foolish, but that is up to you. As far as I can see, you are just another naysayer behind a computer screen.
This is the last comment I will be posting directed towards you.
