Joey claims he would eat more next year if the contest is held again, and this time ate slower than usual during the contest in an article in The OC Register:

“Next year, if they do this again, I’ll definitely eat more,†Chestnut said, adding that he wasn’t that full at the end and actually thought he’d eaten slower than usual. “Seafood is one of the easiest things to digest – a bratwurst is really hard on the body.â€
The article also lists Miki Sudo as a participant, and spells Jon Bello’s last name as “Bellow’:

I think Sudo has lost interest in comp eating like everyone else does over the course of time. After she won that ice cream contest last aug she hasnt done much except for 2nd place in tamales
