2023 Buffalo Wing Fest fields
Joey Chestnut, Geoff Esper, Miki Sudo, Nick Wehry, Gideon Oji, James Webb, George Chiger, Ronnie Hartman, Badlands Booker, Crazy Legs Conti, Jim Reeves and Mike Harris are expected to compete in the Wing It On! USA Chicken Wing Eating Championship at the Buffalo Wing Fest September 3.
Joey Chestnut, Miki Sudo, Nick Wehry, Gideon Oji, George Chiger, Ronnie Hartman, Badlands Booker, Crazy Leg Conti, Jim Reeves, Rene Rovtar and Cherish Brown are expected to compete in the Buffalo Buffet Bowl Eating Championship on September 2.

Wing eating contest on Sunday is one of the most stacked fields this year (excluding Coney). Will be a good contest—I expect the top 4 or 5 to all be within like 20 wings of each other at the end. Will be interesting to see how Webb does with wings since it’s very technical contest rather than favoring capacity/swallowing large pieces of food.

Looks like Chiger is back on the circuit! Here’s an interesting dilemma–if he places and makes money, should we still donate to his GoFundMe? If he doesn’t place and is out the money it costs him to travel to Buffalo, do we need to donate even more?
Or do we just assume that no matter how much we do/don’t donate, it won’t matter…and he’ll continue to spend more than he earns to do these contests and challenges?
