I think if you asked Geoff, he will tell you that he is not number one. He regularly states that Joey could win almost any contest he wanted to, if he trained / prepped for.
But then again, Geoff does deserve some kudos since he wins so many contests each year. One of the most “well-rounded” eaters competing today (Webb not far behind)

I’m surprised there is not a whole genre of fan fiction about Geoff winning Nathan’s by now. I’d like to see it, but damn… 60-80 hotdogs in 10 minutes, and 60 would be a milestone in itself. I see why he isn’t exactly amped up to go after it.

I think Webb just needs to go to Outback Steakhouse and train some more before next year’s contest. He can order some “Shrimp on the Barbie” to emulate the St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail…

Was just a jab brother, not being serious. You obviously can hold your own against Geoff and Joey, no matter the food. I was just looking for an excuse to say “Shrimp on the Barbie” 🙂
