(Butch) Jalapeno peppers must be worse than beef tongue. Ooh!

Its interesting they’ll have the corned beef and cabage and the jalapeno champ there. Hopefully they can defend their titles.

No one from Georgia, Florida or South Carolina allowed to try. What a kick in the teeth to those IFOCE eaters.

I wonder if were going to have the pleasure of watching these 8 eat in all four contests. It should be thrilling each and every time.

I contacted everyone at headquarters, but no hope….too bad, I like Bubba’s Leprechan idea, and was already planning on the appropriate outfit!!

This whole “my backyard” stuff is getting so played out.

If you’re not good enough to get invited, either get better or stay home.

Watching the same two football teams play each other week after week will get old very fast. The same eaters on tv show after tv show will start to smell like 3 day old fish and the viewers will turn it off.

My say is give some lower ranked or non ranked eaters a chance. Having all the eaters consuming 5 pounds of food is good but having some eat only one pound while the top eat five pounds shows more prowess for the top eaters and makes better tv. All I ask is think about it. Give others a chance. Lower ranked eaters would not turn down an all expense paid trip to be on tv like these top 8 are getting paid with airfare, hotels and other expenses paid.

    ?, Mad Stork,
I don’t feel like I’m owed anything nor do I begrudge anyone that has been invited but at most contests a few of the people that live near there end up going. This will be a great contest on St. Patricks Day in the City with the Biggest and Best St. Patricks day celebration I wish I was going. Also there aren’t many hometown/state contests in the Georgia.

What a spit in the face not to invite other eaters that reside in GA.

They can’t put people on TV who any slightly above average Joe with desire could out eat. And, unfortunately, that’s what most of the complainers are.

And, “for the record” I believe Lerman’s been told that plenty. But you can’t teach an old fat dog new tricks.

Superpaul it is nice that you are taking the not so serous side in trying to find humor in getting screwed out of competing in the chowdown, but many eaters are getting fed up with the same big names getting all the exposure . How many times are we supposed to cheer on our fellow eaters before it becomes plain sickening

It is more of a spit in the face that Don Lerman was not invited to the chowdown. There should be an investigation regarding this matter.

(Butch) anonymous you would be so lucky as have an outlook and attitude like Mr. Paul Barlow. While he is a very good eater and is very much appreciated, he knows his limits, yet strives to improve. No professional organization is there for charity. Come to realize it and be thankful that the some people in the sport, for lack of better terms, are good enough, and recognizable enough, to be able to bring attention to the sport itself, which benefits everyone.

I thought this contest was only for the top eight ranked people. This must not be true because thomas is listed and she is lucky to even be in the top 25. WHERE IS DON MOSES LERMAN???????? Without him I will not be watching it. Also, WHERE IS BRIAN SEIKEN????? With his reflux problem gettin better he would really whoop some tail!!!
