dvbowk reports that Sonya Thomas ate 41 meatballs at the Phantom Gourmet Food Festival in Boston. Her three male competitors ate 39 meatballs total. update Pete Davekos ate his fruit basket in 3:52.

    Does anybody know how long did the constest last and how much did the meatballs weight? I ask just for the sake of curiosity, but if anybody knows…

    I was at Phantom yesterday. All i have to say is that Davekos went after that basket with fury! It was like a rabid animal destroying its prey. Home turf crowd was all about Pretty Boy. Sonya did well too, but VERY slow to watch. She had the flu and still managed to beat the 3 men. Very cool.
