Dale Boone appeared on Fox 2 this morning to promote tomorrow's taco eating contest at the Bethalto (IL) Jaycees County Fair. The Riverfront Times also has a blog entry about the contest.

    First of all, I wasn’t talking shit. I was just simply stating a fact. 2nd, I along with everyone else, had to quit watching once he started eating the tacos. That was the disgraceful part, which also made his sponsors food look nasty. I will actually be in st Louis today but I would never participate in a “India and a few cherry picked USA locations” eating group. It’s bad business. Anyone who would start a fight over the results in front of a huge crowd of people is a joke, and one of the reasons that competitive eating is a joke in the United states and taking steps backward.

    Who are you ? Randy santel is not even a eater. He does try to eat alot and say look at me. World Champion does not have to prove him self. He just shows up. And Media loves him. And why does they love him. He not only do a eating contest but is helping the Jaycees rise money.
    Show me another eater willing to travel to help raise money out of his own pocket. Let’s think . No one but Dale Boone would do it .
