Why is everyone hatting on me? I don’t understand it? I was going for a record for fastest STEAK consumption not meal. A 72oz steak is a 72oz steak regardless of where it is. Joey ate that steak and meal damn fast. Props to him for doing it, but I will go to Texas if I can find someone to cover cost (yes I am a student with little funds) for travel and I will challenge that time.

Hey Pete, dont even listen to the anonymous posters, half the time there not even eaters anyway, just keep doing what your doing and good luck in the Collegiate Nationals….(i guess i missed where people where hating on you) i have eaten with Joey 4 times and its the first time i just really saw him sit down and eat,he looks alot more relaxed than when eating at an event, where he looks like hes going to explode…Joey,Pat and many others are all great eaters and very helpful with tips too,…i personally like when Pat and Joey talk smack to each other behind the scenes, there pretty funny….most CE are nice people,it doesnt matter if your in IFOCE or AICE or with someone else…but as any sport there are always the negative people out there….Have A Nice Day 🙂

big deal Jarvis ate a 760z, in 71/2 min. at j&r steakhouse, chestnut will never be in the league of a jarvis ,and plus he has no charisma

This no big deal. Me once eat 126 ounce woolly mammoth head in 16 minutes. It easy when you know saber tooth coming from two miles away to steal it from me. Starving + fear = me eat faster than speeding tiger.
Me would love to relax and have steak with Joe Chestrocks, especially since me no have oven to cook mammoth, just char-broil over newly invented fire.

Great job, Joey! How come you didn’t have them bring another one to match my feat of doing two
complete dinners in one hour? Hell, you could have eaten TWO more of them within the one hour period. I hope you had them bring you some ice cream to top it off like Carlene and I always do.

Me have proof – there is cartoon of me and pal Fred Flintstone chowing down – why you so dumb and mean not sure?

His hair looked long, for Joey, but there’s no proof in the video that it is or isn’t him. If it was Joey, good job on the time. If it wasn’t Joey, the unknown still can eat and needs to get into a contest. Perhaps Joey himself will confirm or deny it.

If Not Sure is an eater he must get his ass kicked every contest. That name doesn’t say much for his confidence.

Thanks guys!!! It was a fun challenge. Rich, I though about breaking your record but I had to ride to Albuquerque that night and I did not want to get too tired. I topped it off with shiner bock, not ice cream.

hope to see some of you guys at asparagus

4/16/05 It has been reported that Competitive Eaters: Charles Hardy 29:30; Brian Seiken 33:00; Allen Goldstein 40:00; Tim Janus 41:20; Crazy Legs Conti 45:00-all successfully completed the J&R Steakhouse Challenge at the Stonybrook, LI location. Although the World Record for this feat was set by the great Cookie Jarvis who gobbled down one of the meat monsters in an unbelievable 7min 15 seconds to break the World Record previously set by Cincinnati Reds pitcher Frank Pastore in the 1970’s. Other notable Eaters who have successfully attempted this feat are AICE’s Bulldozer Johnson in 15 minutes and ChowHound Chapman in 21 minutes.
