AICE news reports US duo wins 4 of 5 RI pumpkin contests

From AICE news:

As predicted by Chairman Chowhound Chapman, Gentleman Joe Menchetti and Elizabeth “Rubber-Gut” Cassidy defeated the great Shirota and Miyake in decisive fashion at the Wallace Pumpkin Farm in Rhode Island. It seems that Gentleman Joe Menchetti who cannot be beaten by man or beast in the pumpkin disciplines and the unknown “Queen Guttress” (stay tuned America, you will be finding out more about this amazing female Eater in the near future) put down the proverbial hammer as they won four of the five contests.

Congratulations Shredder! You really eat well for a man of your years! 🙂 I hope to “see” you competing for another dozen years.

I hope we do hear more from Ms Cassidy. We need to have enough females in the sport, so that they don’t always have to compete only against men. That’s simply not fair, and it suppresses their outstanding, unbelievable, performances in competitions when they must go up against the likes of Koby, Joey, Pat B, The Goose, Joe Menchetti. and Ian Hickman.

That’s especially true of the greatest female eater in history, Sonya Thomas. The full magnitude of her greatness will likely never be known, because of the lack of a separate league for females. I am absolutely certain that if she only competed against the ladies, her record over the past 4 years would be something like 100-0, and she would have about 60 world records.

That’s right, i’m back from the grave to talk about the important things in life you huckleberries. Holy Cow! Happy birthday to Allen “The Shredder” Goldstein. Congratulations to Beautiful Brian for eating 8 slice of pizza, in about a day a and a half, to come in 2nd to last. I guess he’ll be celebrating by entering a cannoli eating contest & speedily eating two before he fills up. That reminds me White, a group of fine italian gentleman stopped by with the greatest lasagna & cannoli’s I’ve had since passing on. Now to an unimportant commercial featuring an unknown female eater and a has been male eater spanking the number 2 male & female Japanese eaters.

Holy Cow Scooter! Your senility followed you to the grave . I ate 7 slices not 8 . Dont credit me for an extra slice. And it took me 10 min not a day and a half. I dont bother with cannoli’s any longer . And yes the unknown female eater and the has been male eater spanking whoever that may be is irrelevant and and unimportant to 3/4 of the IFOCE. aice might consider this big news but i sure dont. Beat Kobe and then you might get lucky and recieve one more congrag besides Rhonda Evans. But then again there is always that one IFOCE member that i might not see eye to eye with that enjoys making me look like a fool and will possibly comment on this site with “Great job Joe” .

Look, it’s Brian popping up again to change the subject on another post about an Aice related event. And he hates how I follow him around taking every jab I can at him! Well, I am not in the IFOCE, but here is my congratulations- Way to go, Joe. And I might not agree with everything Rhonda thinks all the time, but at least there is thinking involved.

Boy, that event sure did get a lot of publicity. huh? The whole thing sounds like a big fraud to me and not worthy of any further mention unless it is validated by a legitimate source. Anyone who buys into the validity of it without any proof is gullible and will believe anything they are told.

I see the reason for your skepticism, Bat. I wouldn’t bet anything substantial at this point either, but there is a blog from Shirota confirming that they did fly to new york, made the trip to Rhode Island, did some sort of competition while filming, and then flew back out again.

Carey you must have very little going on in your life to post on here every 5 min. I am sure Brian will be thrilled to hear that you have a reply for every one his comments. You must love him to death

Does it even matter if they ate at all? The anonymous guy (Menchetti, posting anonymously so as not to breach the TV contract’s gag order until the show has aired) with intimate knowledge of the entire shoot admitted that the whole thing was shady: multiple bathroom breaks, producers removing food from plates, and general interference in the competitions themselves. How can you confer any status upon that competition or any of the eaters involved in it?
