Chip Simpson wins SW Florida wing contest
NewsPress.com reports that Chip Simpson ate 4.75 pounds of meat in 12 minutes at a wing eating contest held at Buffalo Chips in Bonita Springs, Florida. Simpson has not competed in an IFOCE contest since the 2007 Krystal finals and was the sole participant in the professionals division, which was created by the restaurant manager just before the contest started to make the contest more fair for the other entrants. Austin Anderson won the amateur division with 2 pounds, 9 ounces of meat.
NaplesNews.com also has an article
update News-Press.com has an updated article in which Chip Simpson claims he defeated Kobayashi in a wing eating contest. (As far as I am aware, Kobayashi has competed in one wing eating contest in his career which Chip Simpson did not participate in.)

I’ll bet Chip was as arrogant as always and shunned the non-pros. In his world, his crap don’t stink

Yes Chip Simpson must be a liar because we all know how accurate every reporter is and how much research that they really do.

chip simpson normally says hello to you only if you say hello to him first. Other than that he ignores you. There are a few exceptions. Humble, Bob Joey maybe one or two others

Koby might have been at the table for that Spike TV event (wing contest), but he didn’t even try. Most any top 10 Fed eater would have beaten him that day. He ate like he was in slow motion.
It’s a shame there isn’t a wing contest now that Koby can participate in.
By the way, I expect Koby to wat about 8 lbs of fruitcake the day after Christmas. Sonya was only eating a few months when she ate it back in 2003, and she couldn’t quite eat 5 lbs. Today I think at least a half dozen eaters would surpass that, including her.

Wings are soley a technique food, If he was trying his hardest and was healthy I don’t think he would have dominated everyone like you think rhonda. You can only eat debris foods so fast. In wing bowl last year they were fast wings and at the end it did come down to capacity but 8-12 minutes is not enough time to use your capacity to the fullest. Kobey has not been tested in debris food at 100% but honestly Joey is probably the best debris eater. Humble bob and chip are also quite talented in this disicpline.

Pat I’m not saying Koby would dominate you or Joey in wings—-he would everyone else, however. But you and anyone else would be foolish to discount him.
I really hope and pray that he moves his operational base to the US, so you guys can appreciate how good the man is. Then again, who really cares, I suspect. That’s the way CE in the IFOCE is today.
Yeah, Humble Bob is talented in debris foods all right. Perhaps one day he’ll stop holding back and make it into the second round at a Wing Bowl. I agree with you about Chip.

Rhonda when you use the term “i hope and pray” when it comes to CE it shows that you have no life

Anonymous, with a little “a” and an even smaller (if that’s possible) world perspective, your words match your moniker. You have the ideal, childish, shallow frame of reference to make such a statement.
Perhaps it takes you most of your day to put your words together, but even with my shallow grasp of the English language, I can still think of and draft about a dozen eatfeats-type comments in less than a half-hour, cumulatively. So that leaves about 23 1/2 hours per day for me to attain the life I need and desire.
And my weekends are eatfeats-free.
Don’t knock prayer … we all need it.

Anonymous when you analyze what someone posts on an internet blog it shows that *you* have no life. Wait — if I analyze what an anonymous poster posts then….
