First off, i was under the impression that white castle does not promote eating contests with their product. I guess they just couldnt help but give in to temptation when it came to the media and guys like anderson cooper. The guy that won looks a little like Badllands Booker.

Would you give up the opportunity to have Anderson Cooper basically promote your brand? He isn’t in any competitive eating organization and can continue to eat whatever he wants wherever he wants. He is completely different from eaters who are in an organization which promotes certain products where there could be a conflict. The lines get blurred. Still something Kobayashi never understood.

I disagree with you . I personally called the WC headquarters some years ago asking if they would be interested in promoting or sponsoring a comp eating event. I got a flat out no response because they dont feel gluttony is appropriate in endorsing their product . But it seems that they bend the rules and play the star struck role when it comes to celebs

10:58 does not really disagree with the previous but makes the same point sort of. They didn’t want contests with eaters but the crew of a celebrity got them to do a contest.
