Boone CHEATED! He should have been DQ’d. The debris he had was intentional! You can NOT have that amount of debris, in the fashion it was, w/out intentionally putting it into the cups. It was Crazylegsesque.
I believe I can say how he did it. When you take a sip of water, your bottom lip is at or under the cup. When you are putting debris or throwing up into the cups your bottom lip is above the lip of the cup. I first notice this watching Crazylegs in a video awhile ago.
What Boone did was MUCH worse than attempting to disguise that you MAY be throwing up some.
He will now be suspect at EVERY contest, & probably shouldn’t be allowed to compete in contests.

I don’t think there’s any question of whether Boone cheated or not. The pictures speak for themselves (which I have if anyone wants to see them). Having full burgers worth of debris in your cups is complete bullshit. Absolutely should have been disqualified. IFOCE’s reason for not letting Pete compete is because “he was already part of another league.” Lame if you ask me. It’s disappointing that things went down the way they did. I realize this was my first “big” contest and that I’m relatively new to the competitive eating scene, so I’m not going to sit here and pretend like my opinion holds a lot of weight, but in my opinion, what Dale did was disrespectful to not only those of us competing, but to Z-Burger as well. The owners/employees of Z-Burger were honestly some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and put on a great event. To try to cheat your way to victory is ridiculous in my opinion and in my eyes, shows a lack of respect for everyone involved yesterday.
Though I will say; regardless of the eating drama, the contest yesterday was a great time and I look forward to competing in the future.

It is true that I would have been moved up a spot if Dale was dq’d. When asked by the owner, & people running the contest I always said that I shouldn’t be consider to objective bcuz of that, but I still thought he should be dq’d. If I didn’t mention the possibility for my lack of impartialiaty, I think they would have dq’d him.
To call the girls crossing off our numbers judges, is more than a bit extreme. They were “bunettes” who were paid $45. each & given lunch to look pretty & cross off #’s. They should not be called “judges”. I think there were 3 or 4 day time prostitutes in the group of “judges”.

Dale was not liked, no hated in competitive eating IFOCE for excellent reasons including cheating from the very beginning. He wore out the patience of too many people and continues to be everything and worse that Mel C describes. I would not put things so bluntly but really understand why she is writing this way. I would too if I were in her place. Dale Boone cheated his way in pelmenis and into lots of things, cheated and lied. He probably was the one who stole Kobayashi’s trophy from the so called champions bus along with a camera……never proven as he was gone soon after but he had opportunity and motive.
