Eaters comment on Sonya Thomas situation
Don “Moses” Lerman has a post on his blog in which he comments on the Sonya Thomas controversy which is similar in tone to the comments he has left on this website. Micah “Wing Kong” Collins has a more positive blog entry about Sonya.
updated I am not going to approve any more comments from the Don Lerman, “Luther” & “Rufus” conversation as it has devolved into personal insults. If the commenters would like to continue that thread, they can do so on mosesnews, email or another website.

Putting others down does nothing to elevate oneself. That attitude is for and of losers. It would be very interesting to do a study, for example, to examine the correlation between an eater’s perceived level of success in the sport and the number or intensity of negative comments about other eaters. Results would quickly come to light that those who often or intently criticize others have had little success and are even littler people. Such people are likely very insecure and lack confidence in themselves, even though they may talk a good game.
One doesn’t elevate oneself by downing others. Such behavior often does the opposite. People who live in glass houses should especially not throw stones. They can have a strength-gaining boomerang effect.
Also, I would believe people on this site are very, very tired of hearing conjecture and speculation about this incident. Like I said before, the good eaters — and the noble people — are smart enough to refrain from engaging in gossipy rhetoric. But perhaps that’s all some people feel they have to hold on to.
How sad and how cold that is.

OJ, you are making the right decision. There are many Don Lermans, Rufuses and Luthers out there and they all have a right to believe and say what they want. But it seems that the aim of those people (and others) is simply to divide eaters and throw the sport into a state of chaos. Anyone who cares about competitive eating would absolutely not do that.
It takes work to take in all the facts and forgive and forget — wise, good-intended, non self-centered work. It’s far easier to quickly come to judgment, based on one’s egocentric, “all-knowing” view of the world.” They’re really the people who know the least and who should be ignored.
Good on you for taking a noble stand OJ. You’re a TRUE friend to the sport.

Rhonda you are a very intelligent young lady or old lady whichever you prefer. You are correct in your assumption that losers are usually the ones that put people down. They are very insecure and lack confidence in themselves. Some of the eaters in the IFOCE should stop worrying about how they fared against other eaters that competed in the same contest and worry more about winning a title.

Thank you Mr. Woodman. Let’s say I’m 30-something (30 and a decade or so). That’s what 20 years in the Army will do to you.

I give up. Let me day that I think Beautiful Brian dot com is the most positive, rewarding competitive eating web site ever. This web site can not hold a candle to him.

Good Morning Eatfeats? To me this is the Bizarre Room. Someone was awake all night commenting, I have no idea what the night owls are referring to, someone(s) has a very long memory, I think I’ll go with eaters are a nutty breed since I agree with that. Now I will go eat a late breakfast and not ponder further.

I remember that . Don Lerman and Luther were beating each other up on the internet which forced OJ to remove all the horrible comments . I think Lerman complained and wanted Luther removed from the site on a permanent basis

Many of these eaters have mental problems . Who is Rhonda Evans to psycoanalize anyone. Has anyone ever met her? Is she a man woman or both? Just because she claims her name is Rhonda Evans we are supposed to believe it?

Where does skill come into play with OJ Rifkin ? Really takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to put this together Already Brian has replicated half or more of his wallpaper on his blog . All he needs is money earnings stat page and subscription to google and whaa la . realeaters.com.

Alright, I’ll leave an off topic comment on a three year old post. Anon551, it’ll take more than an earnings stat page to replicate Eatfeats. Truthfully, that’s one of the smallest reasons people probably visit this site. I hope BB does start a rival website (so far he hasn’t), but it’ll take some time.

Late 2005 to early mid 2006 when when this site was performing at it’s peak. Negative remarks, Luther, bickering fighting. Lerman bitching about not getting his just due. Capital letters. Ahhhhh how i yearn for the old days
