    Since July Sonya has had a Pat Bertoletti-like schedule of appearances/eating events. It appears that she is really getting a lot of exposure following the Nathan’s women’s division win.

    As the top women eater for the last eight years, her size, and her overall incredible eating talent, Sonya’s always been a top drawer at eating events. However, I do think think since Nathan’s she has been provided more opportunities for appearances. If you look at the numbers, she’s really not doing that many more contests than she has done in the past (about an event a month). The appearances and sponsorships are what’s really fun because you get to eat with guaranteed money and costs paid for upfront. It’s too bad Stephanie blew it so early for the short term money. Stephanie should of established her name a little more in the MLE. Eventually, she might have earned top status given her age compared to Sonya’s. I’m pretty sure Stephanie would of at least been planning a paid for trip to Asia just this year alone. One more reason young Matt Stonie needs to keep his nose clean from playing any games like Stephanie tried to do with disguises. With his age and potential talent Toad will be raking it in eventually if he’s patient as prize money grows, comps are offered, and fees increasingly come his way. Meanwhile, Stephanie will be looking for bus fare to eat against Kobi at Charlie’s Chicken Shack in Buttscratch, CA.

    Nothing against Sonya, but it is so wrong for Mike Antolini or anyone else to say Sonya is the top female eater in the world. She has only competed against a few females. Mike, George, or whoever would say that about whoever was IFOCEs top female, regardless of who that was. When Stephanie ate on the 4th, George said she had the greatest debut performance by a female in MLE history. Now she’s not considered because she was booted?

    Hi X Gal. I agree with most of what you say, but what brings people happiness is person-specific. Steph marches to her own drum beat.

    Yes, Sonya has always been a top drawer.

    On a related note, in my younger days, the men always wanted to get into my drawers. I long for those days, even if I wouldn’t follow through.

    Okay I added an E R yeah oops But you do agree, Sonya sure is a good draw. I feel bad for Stephanie, young kid, could of taken Sonya’s crown eventually. Maybe next year they will allow her to come back on board. After enchiladas, if she’s smart as a runner she should let Sonya set the pace and take the lead at the end. I just hope for own sake, some other runner doesn’t jump the pack before she does.
