Joey will not totally tip his hand at how many Krystals he can eat, but I do think he will put down at least 95 in this qualifier.

Holy crap! I was reading the database to look up some of Joey’s stats. Then I stumbled on Patrick Bertoletti’s stats. Apparently today is the 1 year and 10 day anniversary of Patrick competing without loosing to anyone besides Joey or Takeru. Now that is an eatfeat if I have ever read one. I want my kids to have mohawks to be just like little mini-Patricks.

Rhonda. I actually heard in an interview Joey say he wanted to eat 100 Krystals in his qualifier so he could have the world record heading into Krystals just like he did in Nathan’s. Plus, how cool would that be to be the first person to eat triple digits in Krystals?!? How are the counters going to handle the triple digits BTW? The cards last year only went up to 99.

That’s easy Eric. Just start over with 01, 02, and so forth.

Easy, yes. But maybe less exciting as seeing 101, 102, etc. and possibly confusing for viewers who are a few Krystals short of a steamer pack. If you look at the public school system in the south, aka Krystal territory, there may be quite a few such viewers.

On Eatcast #2 Kevin Carr was saying how cool it would be if Joey would eat 98 or 100 only and then stop even if only at the 7 minute mark. This way he could take the record and not show where he is maxing out. I am looking forward to seeing the results. Let’s see if you get your wish Kevin. (I think it would be pretty cool too.)
