They still post things to CompetitiveEating.net? I thought that went the way of CompetitiveEatingEvents.com and CompetitiveEatingNews.com. What do they have now…five websites? (Some might say SIX if you count EatFeats.)

I have something to say about both Meduna’s totally off-base, even hilarious, prediction for the jalapeno pepper contest, as well as the IFOCE’s failure to mention one other eater’s name: “The Black Widow.” “Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned!”
While Sonya certainly doesn’t seem like an angry or scorned woman, after reading her recent News and Notes posting regarding that event, she does appear confident that she will be a MAJOR force to contend with one and I agree.
While Bertoletti is rightfully the favorite, I think Sonya is going to push him hard throughout the contest, and if he is to win he will really have to be on his game. After all, this is 15 minutes. I pray they don’t run out of peppers this time.
Erik, you are certainly one of the top half dozen pepper eaters known today. Just console yourself early on, however, by being honest with yourself. After all, coming in third to the two best jalapeno pepper eaters in the world today (or fourth, should The Locust attend) should be taken as a very admirable achievement.

Pat and Sonya should be thankful that the man called The Red had mercy on them, otherwise, he would have won easily. When it comes to all hot foods Erik is clearly the best. Every eater should kiss his hallowed feet.

What the hell are you talking about? Meduna looks stupider than shit and the longer the IFOCE leaves his crazy, makes no sense prediction on their web site the more his credibility will be damaged. Get a life Ray. The world exists outside of Boeing and Seattle.

Why dont you shut the hell up anonymous. meduna has been shitted on by the ifoce for god knows how many years. He was starting to come into his own until throat problems caused him to quit altogether.Do you realize this man never made a dime and wouldnt take a dime as a competitive eater. He is the most charitable good natured giving individual this world has ever known. He has raised money for cancer victims and for his community doing countless eating exhibitions with all the proceeds going to charity. He never got a thank you from anyone in that organization . He is more of a mans man than you will ever be. You should be ashamed of yourself.

1st James Tyler 21.75 LBS
2nd Jake Tyler 18.50 LBS
3rd Caleb Crain 18.25 LBS
The contest was 15 minutes long, and the eaters only had to eat the tail meat. The weight inclued the shells.
