Liz,
Thanks for write-up regarding the Pickle contest. Brian Seikan’s participation (as well as other IFOCE Eaters) was based on their fear that they would have gotten beaten by Independent Eaters thus exposing the myth of IFOCE dominance. Q. How come the same IFOCE guys who participated (with the exception of Kevin L) in 2004 decided not to participate in 2006? Their hatred for Independent Eaters movement was no different in 2004 than it is now….You mentioned that some IFOCE indentured Servants (my definition) think that the term rival does not apply because we are not good enough to be their rivals. However, They had the perfect opportunity to prove that we are inferior but decided to punk out. (Especially considering that according to most reports the Shea’s would not have punished them) If their real reason was that they were obliging the Shea’s then their reasoning reflects an even higher level of cowardice. Why is it that we allow them to enter our contest but they prevent us from entering their contests (even contests we have already entered and they get involved in the last minute)?
What’s also interesting is that the IFOCE guys who are poor Eaters seem to have the biggest mouths. Most of the top IFOCE guys (Who are great Eaters and good guys) seem to have the least to say.
I suggest that those pathetic has-been (or never-been) IFOCE Eaters shut-up and prove their self worth at the table and either take AICE up on our challenges or go back to ballet class. It’s absurd to complain when you were AWOL from the Pickle contest. It’s going to be fun watching some of you NY based IFOCE has-beens acting like the idiots that you are when the spot light is no longer on you. Keep the focus on your masters (George & Dick Shea) who have found better Eaters and stop blaming AICE for your pathetic decline.
So, OJ (or is it Shea, Nerz or one of your ivy league prankster friends) how long will it be before you remove my comments? Why don’t you admit your connection to the IFOCE and stop pretending that this is an objective blog and that it’s not stealth marketing?

Dear Angry Guy,
I dont know who you are or what the hell you keep talking about, (and I really dont want you to give me some long-winded speech about how somebody wronged you or whatever….i dont care)
As a fan of competitive eating, I disagree completely with your assessment of Trencherwomen.com. OJ does an impressive job covering CE worldwide. The coverage is as Journalistically Neutral as anyone can ask for despite Annonymous Angry Buffoons posting here under 15 different names. Anytime he mentions a non-IFOCE event, someone jumps all over him about records and other mind numbing bs.
There are a bunch of other websites you can go to if you have a problem with the coverage here. This is OJ’s blog and he can post whatever the hell he wants. It’s a considerable amount of work to keep this up day after day and everyone reads it because he puts out the best product, end of story.
Any idiot can knock down a barn but you need skills, tools and dedication to build one.
Great job OJ, I’m a big fan (I’m sure you can tell from the logs!)

there’s a little bit of truth to each post here.
OJ (whoever you are) does a great job. but, probably just because he is a little closer to some of the IFOCE eaters, the coverage does lean that way. and there’s nothing wrong with that. it’s his/her blog and I keep coming back to see what’s up.
Maybe if people would step up and solve these childish “6th grade mentality” disputes at the eating tables, we wouldn’t all be subjected to some of the crap posts.
And OJ would cover the people who are winning he contests and maybe even get to know them as nice guys.
Boycott a contest?
I don’t know you, but what better way is there to shut someone up than to step up and “shove it down your throat.” (pun intended)

Steakbellie:
You are an idiot who does not know the facts. Much like OJ Rifkin who is one of the Shea’s Ivy League prankster buddies (Or maybe one of them) you also fail to identify who you are and what your real connection to competitive Eating is. Before talking shit do some research and find out the facts. OJ has removed many of my postings and does not run a fair and objective site. You would not know this because you are possibly unaware of the many times my postings and other non-IFOCE postings have been removed.
Look up the term Stealth Marketing and you will discover the real purpose behind this website. Also AICE has requested that IFOCE allow it’s eaters to compete against us (Step up to the Eating table) but has declined. Any amount of objective research on your part would have reveled that. So stip pretending to be the neutral party.
If you got thrown out of two major contests (Matzo Balls and Wing Bowl) because of IFOCE interference at the 11th hour (Contests that you qualified for and took a long time to prepare for) how would you feel? You are probably not an Eater so you don’t understand the disappointment connected to such an experience. Until you have been their I suggest you shut the fuck up.
Yes I am angry Mr/Ms. Cum Belly. Maybe one day we can meet and I can show your stupid uninformed ass how angry I am…./
Clean your lips Ms Cum Belly

thats priceless….i cant even tell you how hard that made me laugh. Apparently you understand zero about business, and you are completely blowing a great opportunity.
When I first started to follow eating, I thought that it was cool that someone had broken away and started a rival organization. It’s good for the sport as a whole to have two groups trying to outdo each other. Then as I looked around the web, every comment that is associated with AICE was just an angry tirade (like that retarded one you just did, although it’s even funnier because I’m pretty sure you’re serious)
Ideally you differentiate your brand from the IFOCE, it’s just too bad that all that comes accross is: “We’re the ANGRY eaters…grrrrrr” (make angry face here)
What fan wants to see a bunch of jerks eat? (I’m certain you have some decent guys on the roster, but you never hear from them) Most of the future eaters will come from your pool of fans, so if you want someone other than just YOU at the table, you should probably not try to beat them up. (Call me crazy, but isnt that bad busines?)
And why would someone want to compete with you? honestly? Are you going to punch them too if they beat you?
I know as a businessman, I am completely turned off by your lack of professionalism (and grammar) Why would I let you represent MY COMPANY when you talk so irresponsibly?
You accuse the IFOCE of stealing eaters and competition, but they really dont have to, your actions are driving them away. It’s sad that you think the IFOCE should just give you it’s eaters, competitions and marketing for free after they’ve invested so much. This is America, start acting like a business owner and stop acting like a crybaby kid. It’s pathetic.

For the most part I don’t really have a problem with chapman or aice except for that tool menchetti, but this last post makes it pretty obvious that the Competitive Eating beyond IFOCE is chapman. Chapman, if you’re going to post as an alter ego, why not disquise it.

For CEBIFOCE,
1. Isn’t the term “Competitive Eating Beyond the IFOCE” an Oxymoron? Does competitive eating really (I mean REALLY) exist beyond the IFOCE?
2. Why would a talented IFOCE eater want to waste his time eating against eaters of lower levels, in a contest with little or no cash on the line?
3. Why not just try to join the IFOCE and stop whining? After all, if you’re good enough to finish 5th in an IFOCE event, you can probably make more than you do by winning some other timed consumption event that you like to call competitive eating.
4. Using the tone you do on this blog, you are only burning bridges between you and any chance you probably have to re-enter the aforementioned organization, which makes me believe that you don’t really care about the sport, or are not confident in your abilities.
5. If your organization really has talented eaters, why can it not secure eating events with sponsors that pay real money? I think it’s because the sponsors know they get what they pay for.
6. I also have to agree with something Andrew said a week or so ago on this blog. The really good eaters do their talking at the competitive eating table. Hence, the weak ones must find another, less expressive outlet through which to be heard, like this blog.
All this is very unfortunate and I too feel very sorry for you CEBIFOCE. You’re a whiner and a “crap in the punch bowl” kind of person. That’s a shame, because you are actually quite intelligent, capable of being a bigger person.

Competitive eating beyond the IFOCE is obviously Coondog and his pathetic feelings are hurt. He also some how feels that he even stood a glimer of a chance of beating Jarvis or Seiken. I would have bet the world the both of them would have pounded dents in Coondogs ass. The Shea’s wouldn’t let me in Matzo Balls or Wing Bowl Waaaah waaah waaah. That’s because they own the show baby you want to go out and start some loser second rate organization and you reap what you sew. The IFOCE is an organization that will continue to dominate the competitive eating sceen and you can’t stand it. Every now and then the media throws you a bone and shows you little group in some hands behind the back pie eating contest and you cheer and hold up you check for 25 dollars. I wish Seiken or Jarvis would have lowered their standards and competed in the pickle contest and snatched the trophy out of your hands then wiped his but with your dog earred hat.
