Matt Stonie and Adrian Morgan are expected to compete in the Slugburger Eating World Championship in Corinth, MS on Saturday. Jamie McDonald says he will also compete.

    I have to admit, I’m a little jelous of Jamie being able to do both. Before I left MLE to do Indy stuff, I asked them if I could do an occasional MLE event when a contest was within driving distance since I really couldnt affoard $500+ flights anymore. I would have loved to do both. Maybe MLE is changing the way they do things, there have been some changes in the front office, I had no idea Mike was leaving. Best of luck to him btw, he was always a decent guy to me.

    Good luck Jamie, it’ll be interesting to see where you place next to the likes of Adrian and Matt. 🙂

    speaking of $500 flights the going rate airfare from east coast to LA for Gzoya contest Aug 18 is close to $500 . Ridiculous

    Wow. a lot of whiners here crying about the cost of air fare. Either put up or shut up. Don’t cry about it.

    As far as Damon Wells in concerned, I am glad he will not be in gyoza as he sucked anyway.

    If you look at the eaters competing in the contest its a no brainer that they will be in the money so their airfare is covered. The locals live a few blocks away so its no skin off their back
