Ben Huddleston reports that the men's Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest will be televised live on ABC starting at 12:30 pm Eastern as part of the network's "Disney Celebrates America" programming. With a 24 hour run-time, there is no excuse for not televising the women's contest earlier in the day.

    Realistically, if the women’s contest had 5-6 women in the low 20s – 30 number and still 1-2 hitting 34-50 they would definitely be televised.

    abc? Thats a huge upgrade over espn demographics wise . ESPN primarily targets sports enthusiasts, while ABC caters to a broader general audience. Bottom line ESPN is still pay channel ABC isnt which means more people will tune in

    woman contest should stay where it alwas was streaming nothing more Old lady Mele has earned a staggering 18k over span of 14yrs competing in Nathans finals most of the time finising 4th or 5th with 14 dogs or less No wnder why she hasnt retired yet

    unbelievable – while I still strive to one day match your prowess as an eater you may want to fact check yourself prior to spewing your hatred. It’s 15 years, not 14 and your “most of the time” actual facts are four of the 15 years at “14 dogs or less” with the remaining 11 years at above 14 which means instead that “most of the time” it’s MORE THAN, not less as you incorrectly claim. Am assuming that you may have been absent during the percentage lessons in grade school. Curious to what your staggering amount earned at the finals has been. Do share, please.

    Marie whatever your name is,instead of accusing someone of spewing hatred and inaccurate fact checks . you my dear need to do a fact check on hotdogs as a whole. Processed meat , huge amts of saturated fats, pig intestines and links to colarectal cancer not to mention the excess sodium intake which can contribute to hbp, risk of heart disease and stroke . So before you boast about your total consumption in hotdog contests why dont you consider the harm you have already put your body through. as well as the near future

    i think its quite safe to assume that sudo actions against her ex which led to the felony charge which will remain on her record for life, just proves that there was an evil side of her that noone really knew about until it came to life on that fateful day on the plane
