Micah "Wing Kong" Collins did an interview on WBT earlier this morning to promote Saturday's qualifier at Concord Mills near Charlotte. Collins is described as the favorite.

    I dont think Wing Kong will eat more than 17. Qualifying is almost over and where has he been? I heard from Pretty Boy he got a job at an Apple store in Philadelphia and now he wears black turtlenecks in the summer and keeps his hair in a ponytail with those stupid fake reading glasses he wears to look smart. What happened to the motorcycle? What happened to the tough ex college lineman? What happened to the barfighting braggart who once claimed to squat 1,000lbs? I’ll bet he keeps in an aquarium now and worries about the pH. I’ll bet he grows his own tomatoes and brags to people in his book club that he makes the best gravy. I’ll bet he collects expensive bicycles and checks his heartrate after a refreshing jog.

    Forget about Juliet Lee and Kong. The shredder 28.75 needs to be dusted because not only is that number suspect but his free pass to Nathans finals has got to stop. Beating up on tough competition like Lepn Feingold sister a few years ago at Duck Stadium proves that he is not deserved of a spot at the Coney table.

    Wing Kong get the radio gig, but seeing as how I am a Top Five Best Dressed eater, and obviously handsome….I’ll be on WBTV Charlotte 7:58am Saturday, the morning of the contest…Does this count as an eating victory?!?
