Miki Sudo has uploaded a video of her entire 10 minute hot dog training session with Michelle Lesco. In her recent online video chat she responded to a question about missing the Nathan's finals (at the 15 minute mark), but did not provide any new specific information. The Ditlo LLC has a new video of Miki Sudo at the Hooter finals.

    I enjoy Miki’s enthusiasm, and while I find competitive eating fascinating, this woman is at least as much of a glutton for attention as she is food. Her need to be in the limelight, her look at me attitude, were sort of cute all for a couple of months. Now it’s old and boring. Without verbalizing it Ms Sudo has an arrogant demeanor about her that turns at least a few people off. It may soon haunt her. She needs to check herself.

    2:30 care to explain? How is miki a glutton for attention? Because she gets asked to do interviews? Because she was filmed at a public event? Because she made a YouTube video? None of this sounds any different from other eaters.

    Prior to the hooters contest she made a comment on a blog or newspaper ” On July 16 fourteen eaters will descend blah blah” . Who the hell is she to become so dramatic and narrative after only a few contests under her belt? Now that is pure arrogance if you ask me

    If you are awake at 2 am writing about the pure arrogance of MIki then you need more sleep and need to think further about what you write. Are you the expert with many contests under your belt and baggy eyes? This is PR and interviews. No one is fully experienced, all eaters including Joey have made many statements which could be called exaggerated or not interesting. Give her time and stop attacking unless that is what gives your anonymous sleepless self a reason to live. Even then stop. And if you are going to attack, at least give us a link, do it professionally. Not she said……Really? Blah blah blah to you too.

    What’s wrong with Miki promoting herself? Almòst everyone who gets into competitive eating enjoys getting a little attention. Look at all the top eaters past and present and I challenge anyone to come up with more than two who didn’t want any.

    Different strokes for different folks. Everyone has a right to choose. If people find it offensive, they don’t have to read or watch.

    But, by the same token, each person has a right to his or her opinion, either way.

    One would hope that opinions would be expressed in a respectful manner, which is often not the case, especially here.

    You guys are real assholes. That’s from a facebook post. If you don’t like Miki, don’t visit her profile in the first place. Secondly, that post is promoting a breast cancer fundraiser that the finalists did together, not Miki as an eater.

    THANK YOU 3:01 PM. Often we think we know who the number one asshole is who posts on this site and causes uproar and harm, but there is certainly more than one. The sad thing is – the few decent eaters out there who who have a soul and actually care about others more than themselves – are the ones made to look bad on this site. Miki in real life is an amazing person. I know that for a fact. So unless you personally know somebody inside and out try to keep your nasty little sneers and shit faced comments to yourself.

    All eaters owe any public recognition to Takeru Kobayashi and Sonya Thomas. Their size and abilities made them interesting to the general public. Miki Sudo, Jamie MacDonald, or even Chestnut or Bertoletti will all walk in their footsteps. Hell, they might never even started eating competitions without Kobi and Thomas. MasterCard commercials, Pepto contracts, big named sponsors see Sudo,MacDonald and
    say, who cares? None of them can do what Kobi and Sonya already accomplished. Ce is dead

    I agree a hundred percent with you MTNB. Joey did take it to new levels and Miki may yet do that to some small degree, but her feet are still too wet to know, but the two names you mentioned are, still today, the two most recognizable faces in the sport.

    It’s sad that many people who came after Kobi and Sonya are unappreciative and disrespectful of their immense contributions. Even if they were to never win another contest, their accomplishments are legendary. Kobi and Sonya stood on the shoulders of those who preceeded them, like Jarvis and Booker, and when it comes to reporting the news back then, I have to throw in Seiken, regardless of what many think of him now.

    The “bosses” of today, seem to delight in thrusting themselves in those self-appointed positions.
