    I was fortunate to have been one of the 15 contestants who competed along side Joey Chestnut in the “World Championship Barbecue Sandwich Eating Contest”, in Myrtle Beach. Having never participated in an “Eating” event I was amazed at the speed of consumption. I was on my third sandwich when Joey broke the old record of 23 sandwiches. It was an experience I will not forget, and was proud to break my own personel record of one pulled pork sandwich with a final count of 6 1/2 in ten minutes. Joey ate 45 sandwiches.

    what is wrong with that?????? joey is ranked #1 in the world. even if the whole idea is dubious he is still #1………. an everyday joe blow getting to compete with #1 is something………. dick………

    Agree. It’s a thrill for most fans to eat in an IFOCE contest period, much less against one of the sport’s finest. Good for Felix.

    I know how you feel. I’ve gotten to compete against Sonya Thomas and Pat Bertoletti. Ignore the other post.
