    Anony 231 You could have come and given me a run! The promotion for this event was done months before Koby’s team announced July 21 as the date for their taco contest. Neither side was in a position to change their contest date. Most of the SoCal eaters chose tacos over ice cream, and that’s how you ended up with the situation you have here. I was sad that Damon Wells and Ron Koch did not come back this time.

    And if I didn’t compete at all? What would you say about the contest results then, when someone else won the championship? There were 7 other people on the stage eating, in case you didn’t know that.

    You can’t say no competition this year everyone competing against him is competition. If it weren’t for local contest there would be no competitive eaters. People don’t just start off being amazing eaters unless your Molly.

    Ron i think its a disgrace that Rich Lefevre and El Toro live a few blocks from you in Vegas and neither of them ask you to hang out with them at a show, club or for dinner. Talk about IFOCE camaraderie ? Its not there and never was

    Everyone needs more ice cream. Ice cream, ice cream, definitely something sweet to counter the sour on here. Not sure why you wish to air this here Ron, 9:25 am is anonymous but a troublemaker for sure. You want to associate with anonymous as your friend and trash other eaters, your choice and one many commenters make but it doesn’t raise your or their standing in the eating community. And it really doesn’t fit with what the post is about. Just think about it. Dirty laundry may need fresh air but public is not the place for it. People make friends or not. Think your anger or disappointment is misplaced or take it up with the people themselves or back off.

    Thanks Ron. Of course, it’s hard to have an ice cream contest or a Farrell’s contest in southern California without Matt Cohen as well.I hope next year scheduling works out better so we can be there and eat for the cause.

    For Ron Koch, great that you had a terrific time with all the eaters you named. in the balance, I suggest just letting it go. These things are not of interest to general readers. Rich LeFevre is highly respected in the eating community and has quite a following after all these years. If someone made an inappropriate or even rascist comment, I think it is you who is completely absorbed with anger about this. Maybe it wasn’t intended that way, maybe it was, who knows. In the end it is really you who suffer the most. Writing more about this on here doesn’t raise your stature either, sorry to say. Many people need to let some things go in order to get on with good things. Everyone cannot be a family. That is not realistic. Be the best person you can be.
