Nathan’s qualifier May 13 in Kissimmee, FL

A facebook event page claims that the first Nathan’s Famous qualifier of 2023 will take place May 13 at Old Town in Kissimmee, FL (south Orlando). BBQ in DC will also hold a qualifier in Washington, DC on June 24. The traditional New York Mets Father’s Day qualifier might also return. Nathan’s will sponsor the giveaway promotion for their June 18 game, which has previously been a hint that a qualifier will take place during the event.

update April 21 A press release says there will also be qualifiers in Cincinnati on June 17 (probably a Reds game) and Pleasanton, CA (probably a return to the Alameda County Fair)

Registration opens today (April 21) at noon eastern for the Kissimmee qualifier.

It will be interesting to see if additional female qualifiers go uncontested in 2023. I can’t think of any other active female competitive eaters in the southeast US other than Miki Sudo.

I read the WH group of China owns Nathan’s hot dogs. Why ????? It’s hard to believe they sold out to China. Now America has to watch George promote this Chinese hot dog while the rest of the Country despises China. Nathan’s you own this. You ruined your long America run and sold out to the CCP. Made in America but owned by the Chinese

@ 3:03 I bet you probably typed that message from an Android phone made in China / owned by a Chinese company. That’s the irony of it all.

Lol @ “promote this chinese hot dog”…all I can think of is: “Hello, sir, would you like some soy sauce or mustard with your hot dog today? You can add a side of wonton soup for dunking it for only $2.49!”

Darron Breeden announced his retirement. Matt Stonie has not done a MLE contest since April 2021. Corbucci has said he also intends to qualify.

We don’t celebrate android phones on the Fourth of July. You guys celebrate Nathan’s like it’s the American hot dog. Also most don’t know Nathan’s is only made in the USA to coverup it’s actually owned by the Chinese. Say what you want. The truth speaks

In China we all laugh at you Americans eating Nathans which we own. Phones too we own you. Keep up the good work celebrating your independence while MLE eats our Chinese owned Nathan’s We even make then in a USA plant but use profits in China. Keep up good work.

I noticed also Nathan’s are easier to eat than in the past I think this may be the reason numbers are higher.

Since they’re so easy to eat you should probably post a video eating 80 to prove how simple it is

1037 I’m not a competitive eater. I do know I ate alof of different hot dogs and I know Nathan’s are more airy. I bet the Chinese owners tweaked them. I usually eat two with Nathan’s I have to eat three. Not the same””””””””””

Me too we don’t eat Nathan’s anymore since we heard the Chinese own them. America first

Nathan’s have an assortment of different size hot dogs. My class did a comparison and we feel Nathan are easier to eat more fluffy. Some hot dogs were more dense.

@1:25 I agree. Same with Z burgers. Those are the easiest burgers I’ve ever eaten. That’s probably the least impressive record I’ve seen.

See how stupid that argument is? Let it go
