The women's contest at the Nathan's finals may not appear on ESPN. IFOCE.com lists the start time of the female division at 11:30 am eastern and the ESPN broadcast will start at 12 noon eastern. (Grace Lee has planned a watch party, hopefully the women's contest will appear on some channel)

    It’s interesting in a very sad way that this brand-new, highly-touted women’s contest with a grip of cash on the line might not even be shown to the public.. would have been cool to watch the race between the top 3-5 females. The men’s contest leaves a lot less to the imagination (I know there’s a terrible pun in that last sentence, but I’m writing fast).

    Hopefully, even if they don’t air it live, they broadcast most of it tape-delayed “..and here’s what happened in the women’s division, earlier..”

    Tape delay is not the same as live. You shouldnt have told everyone to watch the ladies division until it was a done deal. I think this is more dissapointing to the ladies at the table that have no chance to finish in the money and were relying on some tv expsosure as an alternative. Bottom line This really sucks .

    I cannot access http://www.ifoce.com right now, but when I peered at it late yesterday afternoon, I seem to recall the IFOCE stating that ESPN has exclusive rights to cover the event from 11:30 to 1:00, and that the ladies’ contest could be watched on ESPN 3, for which there is a link. Folks can watch the event live by clicking another link on the ESPN 3 site. I checked it out and watched live women’s B-ball.

    Rhonda its just not the same watching it on espn.com as opposed to live on tv where millions and millions of viewers would have tuned in. It would have done wonders as far as opportunities and endorsements for larell grace and michelle who are wonderful ladies.
