New Poll: competitive eating meetup site
The purpose of the new poll is to see if there is any demand for a competitive eating / eating challenge get-together outside of New York and Pennsylvania. The choices in the list were based on known locations of readers/commenters. Other locations can be added to the poll if requested.

There are a few enthusiastic eaters in eastern South Carolina and Georgia. Anyone interested in Savannah?

Doesn’t matter how many good eaters are in California. I’m sure there are a lot of fans that would appreciate having more opportunities to see the elite competitive eaters on the circuit. I, for one, wouldn’t mind doing a mini roadtrip over a day or two to see an event. I’m not about to shell out a few hundred bucks for a plane ticket and hotel. Roadtripping with a few friends is more fun 🙂

This is for Brad S. if you ate that burger and are so much better than aice eaters why not put an open challenge out for aice on a local radio show. All you do is get on everyone but you didnt do so well against those low life aice eaters in chicago, why is that, maybe because you were being watched unlike when you ate the burger

Why don’t other AICE eaters challenge the Denny’s record set by Brad?
anonymous said
November 15, 2008 @ 10:12 pm
Brad S. is a disorientated misunderstood young man trying in vain to gain worldwide attention in something or anything for that matter. Yes it is true he is a connoisseur of good food but all of that wisdom is washed away with his shameful acts of selfishness. Bottom line he is not a team player. Result zero ranking in IFOCE
anonymous said
November 15, 2008 @ 11:19 pm
Why because nobody in that organization has a prayer of touching the record and they are not on par with IFOCE eaters. You might read about inflated totals in their contests but how do we know if they are accurate? They can print anything they want just to make themself look good

OJ, thanks for listing my city in this poll. If we all vote for it, and they bring a contest or challenge here, I wont need a ride!!!!

Some where close to Pittsburgh….I’d make the trip to Cleveland Tiny, I’m sure some of the other guys from Ohio like The Human Vacuum would show, I know I can bring Kuhn’s and probably Wing-Tut as well.

a midwest connection would be nice considering there isnt anyone in the top 50 within 2 states of me in each direction then that happens to be some bad sob’s

I understand that noone believes he did it. I just seen his video and heard him on a radio show I just figured this is his chance to back up what he’s saying or maybe its just a publcity act either way aice has eaters in pgh so i’m sure if he wanted a contest they would oblige i dont think aice has contracts stopping eaters from doing what they want

A pity that the only Canadian city to be listed is Toronto.
Vancouver, BC should be listed since it has held 6 Nathan’s HDB contests and other eating contests.
1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and June 14, 2003 – Canadian Hot Dog Eating Championship/Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifier
Dennis Tasic won the Canadian Mustard Belt in 1999. From 2000 to 2003 Chris Eyre of Surrey won the belt. The current whereabouts of the
Canadian Mustard Belt and display case are unknown.
August 18, 2008 – Canadians Nathan’s Hot-Dog A-Thon/non qualifer
I get to keep the Top DOG #1 weiner trophy.
To ojrifkin:
In your thorough research into competitive eating you have missed/not noted 18 photographs taken by Serguei Bachlakov and posted to dreamstime.com
at the 2002 (14 photos) and 2003 (4 photos) Canadian Hot Dog Eating Championships.
http://www.dreamstime.com/hot-dog-eating-championship-image4586190 was taken in 2002.
http://www.dreamstime.com/hot-dog-eating-championship-image4586534 was taken on June 14, 2003.
FYI Seattle held a one time Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifier in 2002 at a family festival event
a week before the Vancouver qualifer.

How about the miracle of a per diem for gas? Otherwise, this will be a small gathering of eaters without families or jobs
anonymous said
November 16, 2008 @ 9:28 am
This entire idea is stupid and so is the poll. If people want to meet just call each other on the phone or send out an email and the job is done. No need to make this such a big issue. Ken Wong i cannot put into words how boring your posts are.

How about taking a poll of people who are constantly on this site with no life at all. Can you name a few off the top of your head?

I. I threw the fuck up. Joel Cannon dude finished with no problem. Jill had a few drinks and had a good time. Who the hell is Philibin? Does he eat food?

Pat Philbin is a egg nog champ and resembles a cross between arnold the pig and Curly Joe Derita from the three stooges. He is very lovable and cuddly chap and can be heard on XM radio’s Opie & Anthony show. I believe he would have finished the steak. . Yes he does eat food. He eats anything
