A sheer rookie could win this contest. Nothing to be proud of.

This was not an eating contest. What does this add up to? 1/4 lb?

Understandably the money was great. Peeling nuts open isn’t eating. Is this a pity win?

The only reason to not be proud of a win is if you cheated or treated people badly. I don’t think that was the case here. Good for you nick

Definitely a strange but fun looking event with a surprising large crowd in attendance. Were these totals scored by hand counting the shells in pairs? This is one of those events where the count really has to be confirmed and double checked given the purse size and close spread between eater.

It is kind of a strange “food” for competition. Did they weigh the shells? Not all pistachio nuts are the same size etc.

The average person would most likely eat this many watching tv

A win is a win. Other competitors didn’t prepare enough. I personally like the fact that they threw in a contest that is not entirely about speed/capacity combined. This was almost entirely about technique and dexterity. There’s plenty of other contests in MLE where sheer eating speed and capacity determine the winner. Congrats to Nick on his first win–and I think we’ll see him starting to get better and better in 2023 as they year progresses.
I think he is “Hungry” for more 1st place finished this year.

Over 100 and Weary didn’t complain about dry fingers, or cotton mouth..Impressive. Got to see video before I make rash comments.

Did they count them before? Because, some eaters would have been tempted to eat the shells if so. Then it would be an eating contest.

I’m sure this will make him think a lot of himself. Does he really think he can win a regular contest or Nathan’s?

The only nuts that got cracked this weekend were Nicks. He excels at using them universally.

@134 of course it did. He already uploaded a new Facebook profile pic showing it, with his steroid ridden arms.

Heavy d bag would of beat all of them but he was too busy over exaggerating size on another food challenge and gaining another 5 lbs

Hey rookie, why didn’t you sign up and eat?

Contest was judged by counting one “nut” per gram eaten.

@7:03 how dare he upload a new pic. You’re right. Nobody ever uploads new profile pics when something fun happens in their life

don not think that it was a good idea to have a pistachio eating contest. Too many variables. I also do not think that OJ keeps track of comments frequently enough. How can the above be waiting for approval. It should have been deleted immediately. What is happening with the comments OJ?
