Notable eating challenges never completed by women
An email request was received for a list of notable eating challenges which have never been completed by women. The Kookamonga (formerly Sasquatch) challenge at the Kooky Canuck in Memphis is probably the most famous challenge which has only been completed by males. The woman who came closest to finishing the Kookamonga, Brittany Albrecht, wrote a blog entry in February about her attempt.
The Wing King Challenge in Boulder probably has the longest all-male online finishers list (34 men) The Walls of Fame for the Mac Daddy Pancake challenge in Honolulu and the Manimal Challenge in Maine (the upcoming Man vs. Food challenge) also consist solely of men.
I am unaware of any female finishers of the Kitchen Sink sundae in Walnut Creek, CA, Tony Luke’s Ultimate cheesesteak in Philadelphia and the R U Hungry 5 sandwich challenge in New Jersey, but cannot verify this as these challenges lack online finishers lists.

For the Kitchen Sink challenge, I just called them and talked to Mark. He said 7 or 8 people have won in total, and “no chicks” have won.

The Godzilla Roll served at Sushi Delight in Lomita, CA has no female finishers at this point, though I’m not entirely certain of the purposes of this list what would constitute a “notable eating challenge.” From my experience, I can tell you that many eating challenges I’ve participated in have never had a female winner.

A picture on the Sushi Delight facebook wall has a caption calling Janet a challenge winner, but she might have just done the best of the challenge attempts at her table without finishing it.

I may stand corrected! I visited Sushi Delight about two weeks ago. Only six pictures graced the wall of fame. Maybe Janet finally broke the gender barrier. I know a couple of female eaters will be unhappy about this.
