Pat Bertoletti wins Panama City Beach Key Lime Pie contest

From IFOCE.com Pat Bertoletti won his second contest in five days at the GoldenPalace.net World Key Lime Pie-Eating Championship. Bertoletti consumed 10.8 pounds of pie in 8 minutes. Tim Janus was the runner-up. Eric Broe, winner of yesterday’s contest for college students only, took third place ahead of Hall Hunt and Crazy Legs Conti.

The IFOCE press release mentions the contest as part of the GoldenPalace.net World Series of Competitive Eating, so the World Series is a term used to describe goldenpalace sponsored contests and not a new event.

Spring Fling Contests for jalapeno popper eating will be held in Tuscon, Arizona on April 7 and 8. Like the Spring Break contests, the earlier event will be open only to college students.

Thanks a lot, I am just glad they were quick pies, they went down really quickly. They were quick but were really rich and sweet. Tim should be given credit for a good showing.

Alex you never cease to amaze me . I dont remember one comment you have ever left that you don’t include something about you in it. Either its a video of drinking milk or anything of reference to yourself . Your latest comment i really thought that for once you would say something nice about someone else without including something about yourself but i was wrong because there you go again ‘Congrag Pat ” Pat did you know i am from Panama” ? You had to throw that in right?

Panama is weak. It’s feeble. I think it’s time to put the hurt on Panama.

Thank you Bruiser, I dont know but every time I say something there is always someone attacking me without any reason, I don’t care about that, I am a real fan of competitive eating and I have competed myself, hopefully one day there in US and no matter what happens I would definitely enjoy a great time eating.

Why don’t you try to find a Business to sponsor an event in Panama. That way you would not have any travel expense and the World would find out who you are.

Make sure you get the IFOCE to put the event together so you can get ranked. It’s time to EAT Alex.

Alex, or at least compete in some contest there – at some restaurant, fair, whatever. And get the results in a paper, or on the news, or the like. People here want to see results and what you can do against other people. I think they have had enough of hearing “I chugged” this and “I ate” that without backing it up.

I agree with Andrew and Yo mama. I am not a competitive eater but i view this board quite frequently and it bothers me when i see grown men brag about their conquests but have not gotten a recent first place trophy to prove it. Don Lerman is one example. Every now and then its THIS IS DON MOSES LERMAN I JUST ATE 6 HOT DOGS IN ONE MINUTE IM COMING BACK WITH THE LIKES YOU NEVER SEEN. Is this something that we should gasp in utter amazement? It proves nothing and noone really gives a crap. If Don was able to accomplish this, then great . fantastic. But does the whole world have to know about it and in capital letters yet? . It almost sounds like a child bragging to his friends about some new toy he just got for his birthday. Then we have to hear Alex mentioning his milk adventures on video. “You know i drank it i really did . I have a video to prove it”! If Alex is under 28 then i forgive him because according to historians the male species does not reach maturity until that age. Bertoletti or Chestnut never brag about their eating prowess and if anyone has the right to do so it is those two. This is not a knock or slander on the part of Alex or Lerman but more along the lines of creative advice to both. Guys, nobody wants to hear your personal conquests unless it is at the competitive eating table.
