Juliet was great. Getting 29 with those HDBs was unbelievable. They were boiled, skinless, rubbery and very hard to chew and swallow. I hate to admit I got just 12 and fought reversals on 3 separate occasions.

AND I only ate 13 as I had to run from Mike Landrich during his possible reversals.

After that burp you ripped, scaring me and Big Brian, there’s no room to talk buddy. I thought it was a precursor to a fountain of hot dogs, buns and gatorade.

Burp? He was being kind Landrich. He usually lets out a long two minute fart without warning. Male you dissapoint me. I expected you to separate yourself from the men and boys and break through the terrible 13 that eaters like myself, Toro , Kevin Carr, and a few others cant seem to overcome. On your next trip to the table i expect high teens or greater I expected you to deliver more than just the “mail” . Shame on you!

Who in their right mind cant say that Juliet has become the greatest female American eater. Onyy Gal Sone is better and she is so much better than Juliet.

You are right BB, I did not deliver. I will do much better at QVC after I am done smoking your ass in pizza this Saturday. Stay Hungry & Focused (right Booker!)

Now Landrich, you know. I am always good for sound effects before, during & after an event but you will never get a reversal from me.

The Great Moses was correct when he said old eaters cannot even attend eating contests because IFOCE will complain. Even after the contract is expired.

My suggestion is that Skinnyboy and Hangman both be banned from any Nathan’s contests this year. Reason being Skinnyboy posted pictures about a hot dog eating challenge he was just in. It was not sponsored by Nathan’s and it was not sanctioned by IFOCE. For those that do not know IFOCE demands a monetary cut of all contests to be sanctioned.

Hangman posted some pictures about a eating contest where he was a Judge. He did not eat but was in attendance none the less and as Moses says, IFOCE members cannot even attend contests.

I have no idea if Skinnyboy or Hangman has ever signed or even seen a contract or rules from IFOCE but that does not matter. IFOCE OWNS ALL eating contests, or so it seems. And there are ranked eaters in IFOCE who have not signed contracts or seen the rules and they should be banned to for attending non sanctioned eating contests. Those name I’ll share at a later time. For now I say remove Skinnyboy and Hangman’s names from all Nathan’s qualifiers for 2008. I thought I heard Hangman will be in Norfolk on June 7. We shall see.

I agree with a non a mis. hangman shoild be removed from all nathans contests. I heard he made five thousand dollars to do that contest in and he refused to give IFOCE/MLE ten percent of his pay. I heard hangman is scheduled to be at Norfolk, Charlotte and Myrtle Beach. I say kick that table ender out. I can eat more hot dogs than him with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back.

Today I tip my cap to Juliet…
We all seem to have excuses about skinless rubbery boiled hotdogs…Truth is she ate the same dogs we did and was able to find a way to get past those barriers that seemed to either slow most of us down, or throw some off there game (like myself)…We use these as excuses, she used it as an oppertunity…
This weekend juilet tought me a valuable lesson that I will take w/ me to QVC…
Congrats juliet…I saw what you were made of this weekend, and I was impressed

When you look at Juliet and Sonya and the totals they both put up in hot dogs in their second year Juliet is kicking Sonyas ass at every turn. As soon as Juliet beats Sonya in pizza and hot dogs this year Sonya will give it up and I will be glad because there will be one less woman eating and one more baking.

Congrats to Juliet on qualifying, However how can you count out Derek “Wing Tut” Payne, Pete “Broken Wing” Maurizio, and Bob”Killer” Kuhns Who weren’t allowed to qualify because the are not members of the IFOCE. All contests should be open know matter who sanctioned the event AICE,IFOCE or anybody else. So the question really is : Is Juliet really the better eater?

  22. false face said

    May 26, 2008 @ 11:09 pm

Payne Broken wing and Kuhns should give fake names or just show up at the event if they want to get in that bad . They dont check for ID and nobody knows who the fuck they are anyhow

  23. Gentleman Joe said

    May 26, 2008 @ 11:58 pm

Pete “Broken Wing” Maurizio & Bob “Killer” Kuhns are quality eaters in ANY organization.

Derek “Wing Tut” Payne is a talented MC. All 3 are good guys.

They should have there own hot dog eating contest.

The numbers Maurizio & Kuhn’s would put up would be higher than all in Pitt (except maybe Juliet) & Wing Tut would make it a better more interesting show than anyone w/ifoce.

If you ever come here Superman, you are missed. Good to see you’re still kickin’.

Round and round we go again. The IFOCE is a business. Whether I or anyone else likes the rules of the business is beside the point. Eaters must choose one organization (or be independent) or the other. There’s really not much to gain by complaining or conjecturing about who might have done what. I guess is is a bit of fun to do so, however. I sometimes do that myself.

The bottom line is this: Juliet was by far the best eater in the IFOCE Nathan’s qualifier in Pittsburgh on Saturday, while Joe was the Strawberry Champion in Delaplane. That’s pretty much it. All the rest is speculation.

Joe has a point. Until proven otherwise, you can’t honestly have world rankings based on the totality of ALL eaters, when eaters from different organizations aren’t allowed to compete with one another. But, that’s all part of organizational marketing–much like the “World Series” in baseball is really just to see who is the best team in America.

concerned, thanks for your concern. But I wouldn’t have touched Juliet.

Right now I’m more MC than Eater, as evidenced by my recent totals.

I figure I’d been right there with the “Field.” As for Maurizio & Kuhns, I know they can both do 20+, but with the dog conditions that day who knows? (everyone has said they were a tough eat)
I did a 5 minute contest with Kuhns and he did 13… then had 2 more after ’cause they were real good dogs.

But really, no reason to start that argument again. The ship has sailed.

rhonda if you mean the ifoce rankings then they clearly say “Rankings of the top eaters on the circuit worldwide” which is correct because ‘the circuit’ is the ifoce circuit

I’m not saying they would have beat Juliet. But we will never find out because of the rules in the IFOCE.
How can eaters let people tell them when and where to eat. Can the go to the bathroom on there own or do they need help with that.

  29. the boy king said

    May 28, 2008 @ 10:12 am

Yes, everyone is well aware of this. No need to beat the Dead Horse.

And only (insert name here) requires assistance peeing. Someone has to hold the magnifying glass. (ZING)

do the ifoce eaters outside the top 10 or so really get anything in return to make it worth it???

  31. mike landrich said (Registered July 4, 2007)

To “I said” at 1035. Simple answer, and that is WE KEEP COMPETING; THEREFORE, YES WE DO GET SOMETHING IN RETURN. Some of us just compete because we like competition, regardless of the sport/event. If you’re only in something for money and fame, you will never truly understand why most of us do the things we do.

hey diskoe checking in. i definitely agree with landrich…those dogs were just awful…couldn’t find any rhythm at all. my grand total – 7 HDBs 🙁

  33. mike landrich said (Registered July 4, 2007)

The most bizarre thing about those HDBs was that none of us, at least the guys I asked, got meat-sweats.

    Iskoe,
Good to see you out again, keep it up!

    Mike,
    Nice to finally meet you!
I have to agree about the Dogs. I didnt get any sweats either, and that may be partially because we couldnt eat them fast enough to cause that reaction. Humbling experience and my hat goes off to Juliet, Jim Reeves and Kong who dealt with it better than me.

Kong and Subich had a good following at the event, and Subich’s crew were extra fun with the other competitors. Many of the contestants brought their kids and the Neat-Eating contest was one of the toughest tables I’ve ever seen. The Shoudt kids were smart to stay in Philly.

Rich Shea does a damn good job of Filling the Tent! Thanks for the ‘Mountain Song’!
