    Great Contest! it rained all day! and the weather cleared up at 6pm sharp and the contest was underway! soon as Eater X was declared the winner, 10 minutes later, it poured for hours! even the Met game got rained out. Congrats X and all who placed. Also to BB for breaking his Personal Best as well!

    More newcomers with excellent totals. Every qualifier it seems there is several people doing awesome and with only 10 minutes no less. Zoinks!

    After the Broadway at the Beach counting fiasco, where everyone just told Wild Bill what they ate,I am left wondering about some eaters “estimates” of their totals. Lots of incredible totals, especially against other similar ranked eaters in other qualifiers.
    The sudden improvement in this event with less time seems rather incredible, since across the country, most middle-ranked eaters ate slightly less up until this point. Good timing on the downpour to wipe out the evidence. Also notice the preponderance of the same eaters who were in South Carolina that fateful day. Only they know what they really ate, and when I think about it, if it is that important to them, enjoy another possible tainted “victory”.

    Hater why are you starting shit. Every single plate at Shea was checked out fine tooth and comb. Those results came from Badlands Booker who in turn relayed the totals to Ryan Nerz . Badlands is the most competant judge you will ever find in the sport. There was no downpour during the contest. The rain started coming down sometime after all the results were calculated and finalized. FYI Wild Bill is the kind of person that would point out to a judge if he was accidently credited for more than he ate. Do you think some of those egotistic asses at the table would even dream of being that honest? I dont think so

    I just have a few word to mention regarding the Shea Stadium contest. I dont want to start putting my foot in my mouth but the Mets front office and the sponsors involved should have had the decency to provide a tent or some sort of shelter to protect us from the monsoon that erupted prior to and after the contest.Worst comes to worst they could have held it near the consession stands inside the building. Not professional at all. They made it seem as though they were doing IFOCE a big favor by allowing them to conduct a contest in any spot as long as it wasnt inside. . In past years they held it in the corner of the parking lot gate which was at least visible for people that use mass transit. On another note a female Nathans rep quite elderly looking if i may add made a snide remark directed towards me 10 minutes after the contest thinking i was about to heave near her. . . I had no intention of doing so and she shouldn’t have assumed anything unless the act is actually carried out. She also had no biz talking to me as if i were a child. I ignored her out of respect for Ryan, the Shea’s and the IFOCE. Reminded me of this old woman back in 1967 that embarrassed me in front of other kids and old farts that congregated around the pool at Browns hotel in the Catskills claiming i had my bathing suit on backwards. I realize the thunder and downpour got everyone all flustered but there is no need to act the way they do. This female reporter that ate 5 hot dogs is no bargain either. Before the contest she kept asking the Nathans rep whom i nearly had it out with, Where is eater x . The other one chimes in “Oh you mean the star of the show” . Well you know what there are other eaters out there besides the “star of the show” and they need to show some respect for them and not make us feel like we are chopped liver. I was in the IFOCE before any of these names ever existed and i certainly did not feel that way when i was disrespected by that snide “vomit” remark. I said what i had to say and thats that.

    I like that one Mike. I could have gone through with it but it would have come with the price of getting tossed from the rankings and banned for good by the IFOCE. Most of the people with Nathans have always been cool with me like Randy and the other guys. I dont think she knew who i was.
