Youtube has a promo video for Sonya Thomas' appearance on The Ricki Lake Show tomorrow where she will try to break her record of 12 hard boiled eggs in under a minute. update Brian Seiken has uploaded a video of the appearance.

    I wish the video had been a bit longer. Anyway, she was going at a pretty good clip, and it looks as if she will eat more than 12 eggs.

    Those looked like pretty large eggs too. Perhaps the chickens that laid them reside at Chernobyl Farms.

    She was picked to do the show after WLOCE. Say no. Due to most of it’s eaters being overseas during the winter months.

    Yes, 7:04, it’s heartwarming that the WLOCE opened the door so an outside member (to WLOCE) could have a shot for a little publicity, since the WLOCE is world-renowned and all.

    It’s so nice to throw a crumb to lesser-known eaters, on occasion, especially during this wonderful season of giving.

    I need to pause, as I’m tearing up.

    Oh please, WLOCE (Dale) might, indeed have its “nix,” whatever that is, but certainly not its niche.

    Made-up records? I’d love to see Dale, himself, go on national TV and challenge even one of these “made-up” records.

    Yes, 15 (Jumbo-sized) hard-boiled eggs in a minute. I thought it would take Sonya the full minute just to get warmed up. I was wrong.

    Sure, OP, WLOCE doesn’t “need” the USA, but its founder DOES need to run away from it, so that it/he can find a safe haven for self-promotion wihout a challenge.

    People outside comp. eating realize what a special talent Sonya Thomas is, because of her small stature and the fact that she’s also a female. Most of her fellow eaters just blow her off as someone who is in their way to glory.

    5:42, your chosen name Drag King may be a clue to something or other, whatever it is your second sentence is blatantly false. “Most of her fellow eaters just blow her off as someone who is in their way to glory.” Please, do not be ridiculous and make such generalizations. It has been widely printed and in interviews many eaters have lauded Sonya’s talents. Crazy Legs and Booker are the best known but there are many many others. Eaters who are jealous and do not hold themselves to high standards from top eaters to bottom feeders will behave in unsupportive ways to everyone. Helps no one, zip, zilch. Look to quality people and there you will find quality behavior. They may not be top eaters but they contribute positive. The rest, the negatives, the ones who do not follow their contracts, some who write comments here, are not worth their titles or words.

    Even though Dale Boone could probably eat more, he is not the only world champion. I think Joey and possibly Kobi are better than Boone.

    Drag King is basically correct. You can find exceptions to anything. Several eaters, to incude the ones mentioned by 8:49 represent the exceptions. Most, however, are resentful. I am not saying that is bad, however, but that is just the way it is.
