The videos says this is the first time he has failed to complete a challenge in this trip. But he also failed another ice cream challenge at the Vault Shoppe a few weeks before.

A food challenge loss is eliminated once you finally beat the challenge. I’ve lost a challenge 4 times before actually winning on the 5th attempt, but then those 4 losses went away because it then went into the “win column.” I attempted that referenced ice cream challenge the night before as my 2nd challenge of the day, after a 5lb burger. I was unable to fit the last 2 scoops, but then I went back the next day for lunch and defeated the challenge. Because of that, that first “loss” no longer matters and it’s just considered a win.

Randy that is the stupidest thing we have ever heard. Your comment of Because of that the first loss no longer matters and its just considered a win is mildly unintelligent if not completely brainless. So using your unimaginable thinking if someone (anyone) does something (anything) 100 times but actually only completes that thing once then the other 99 failures dont count? Maybe you should be traveling the world taking math classes and real world practical thinking instead of feeding your ego. Im concerned all of that food youre eating is killing what brain cells you may have left.

Attempting to insult someone and their intelligence level, and then using the term “stupidest” always makes me giggle.

I see what Randy is saying, but I don’t think it’s fair to say that this is the “first loss of the trip” if it really isn’t. Aside from that, Randy is killing it and good for him that he’s doing what he’s doing.

Sidenote: Erik is still a weenie.

From a statistical and methodological viewpoint, the idea that a win cancels a loss only functions within the world of foodchallenges.com – in much the same way that concepts and definitions unique to WWE, MLE and APE only work within those particular universes.

A food challenge is a constant “event” involving the same rules, foods, and circumstances each time. The only thing that changes is your personal preparations and physical capabilities at that moment in time… any maybe how the food is cooked. This philosophy doesn’t work for other athletic events because each year or game there are different players involved and many other variables such as weather that affect the outcome of the game. When you beat a video game, do you say that you are 1-10,000, since you lost 10,000 times before you actually beat the game? No you just say you beat the game lol. You can’t do that when other people are involved though.

What happens if you beat a challenge, and then go back sometime and lose it?
