Don’t worry about it. I was invited and declined as did some other eaters. I’ll do the deuce anytime!

The ones that declined finally smartened up realizing all they are is just another pawn in kobe ass whooping

No doubt Dave. They were afraid of you and the publicity you’d bring. Seiken would’ve had all 3 of his readers protesting at the show

Why isn’t Molly Schuyler in the event? I can’t see her turning down an invitation to go head to head with Koby and Pat. Makes you wonder what is going on there. I’m guessing she wasn’t invited as there is no conceivable way she would pass up a chance at this much glory. If she can do all of those other mind boggling feats, then why wouldn’t she want to make a statement in front of thousands of people. We’d love to have this clarified, Molly.

My guess is that she didn’t want to eat in front of a couple of hundred of people and for no prize money.

Good point Rich ; It appears that Kobe is bias towards males. He has never attempted to contact Sudo on FB or email and both of them are Japanese. I would assume her affiliation with IFOCE is the stumbling block but why not Molly? She has no affiliation with any organization . Maybe its out of fear that she might actually beat him .

Locust , you sound like a Newbie . Hot dogs are different from every other food . Kobi and Joey can’t be touched in this category . It means so much In the MLE only . As an independent does not mean much .

All I know about Molly is that she is she is a fun-loving, phenomenal competitor, who is terrorizing and mesmerizing the independents. She takes great pride in winning, and if she hasn’t a good chance to come out on top in a given event, then that event is of little interest to her.

HDBs, compared to other fare, are not one of Molly’s stronger suits, at least not yet. Given that Kobi and Pat have eaten over 65 and 50 HDBs, respectively, Molly probably sees herself as having no chance to win; subsequently, she has no interest in this event—-similar reasoning for her not signing the MLE contract last year.

I may be way off, as I probably am often enough, but that’s my take.

They declined because they know its not the same as Coney Island . So they get a free room an a few bucks spending money to get their asses handed to them by Kobayashi. Its all about the Kobi show.

She did 31 in a qualifier last year before she started shattering one record after another (even a couple of Joey’s). If she can eat 2 72oz steaks in less time than it took me just to cut em, it shows she has tremendous jaw strength and amazing teeth to boot. Those are two of the most important assets (along with an enormous capacity) for putting up a big number eating hot dogs. Maybe Rhonda is right that Molly would not enter a contest she would have little chance of winning or maybe she wasn’t invited. In either case, I think several people are curious. I don’t think Molly would admit to the former but would to the latter.

I simply think Molly wasn’t invited. Nothing to clear up here, no conspiracy, no shenanigans.

I’m also pretty sure Molly wasn’t invited. What about Stephanie Torres or Allen Goldstein or Randy Santel or Kyle Hanner?

I could never read past one line of a rhonda evans post. Its always same miss goody two shoes sticking up for another eater. Reciting their stats blah blah . Shutup and be negative . Its much more interesting

rhonda your thinking is good but completely wrong on this one. Molly has no care if she were to lose any contest.

Molly is probably committed to All Pro as their #1 ranked eater. Others may have declined because they have other things to do such as a contest with prize money or being with family. Why do people really care who isn’t eating?

Supposedly the Japanese consider a decline of invitation as the greatest insult and dishonorable gesture you can bestow upon them

Molly has no care if she were to lose any contest? Yeah right. She is the most self promoting eater in the world. She gets off on reporting on her latest accomplishments. She knows she would lose a lot of credibility if she were soundly beaten in a controlled contest by Kobayashi and/or Pat and Jamie.
