    Someone that was in the contest last year who name i wont mention said the chilli is served cold and tastes like shit. They should start treating eaters like human beings and stop serving them food that tastes like stuff they feed to rats in the subways

    Sonya’s total wasn’t 1.5gal, but actually 0.875gal. The math wouldn’t add up to 1.5 if she ate 3.5 bowls

    Sonya didn’t come anywhere near Matt, like these numbers suggest. He ate 7 bowls, she ate 3.5, or exactly HALF. 32 ounces x 3.5 bowls = 112 ounces, or 0.875 gallons, like 9:15 said. Why does she get credit for way more?

    Sonya got credit for exactly what she ate. 3 Bowls. Actually she was smart. She was going to get 5TH place whether she ate 3 bowls or 6 bowls. Why torture her body with an extra gallon of that nasty shit!? Did anyone except Joey get enough money to fully pay their expenses? Maybe Bob.

    Why does Booker continue to compete? Hardy Lerman Jarvis knew when their time was up and did the smart thing by retiring. He is only doing more damage to his body competing in his 40’s

    Chestnut shows up with that smug look on his face knowing that he got an appearance fee and prize money. Some of the others including Sonya have to pay their own way and get shit in return. Not worth it. When are some of you going to wisen up? Is this the only way you feel that people will notice you?

    234am honestly some of them do not have a life outside of competitive eating. They could care less how the food tastes or what it’s doing to their insides. There was a time when it was new exciting and fun. Those days are over . The ones that still cling to it are obviously not very bright

    Strange that OJ continues to allow all kinds of comments based upon Ronnie Hartmans results after deleting that number. What does this tell everyone? Buyer beware? Think this is very poor. We have a Rake and Herald and others to thank for excellent reporting, yet the threads are polluted nevertheless. My identity is known to OJ. Think he should fess up to something or other about comments and the intentions of this site.

    Its called freedom of speech.     They really need to form a senior league. After 40 or 50 your eating ability goes to shit. A senior league would reward those who still want to stick around.

    Major league eating is for the young guns and some older eaters that can still put up numbers .Eaters such as . Miki Stonie (although its not his real name) Chestnut , Yasir , Aaron , Janus, Adrian , Michelle, Marcos, Juan Rodriguez. Dudlight. Those names are the future of the sport. The rest might be better off with a seniro league . What is the point ? They will never win money or trophies Structure of prizes in the senior league should be as follows
    1st place $100
    2nd place $50
    3rd place $25
    4th place road maps or Burger King & Mcdonalds coupons

    Your senior league is made up of people who are retired or rarely compete anymore. We can throw Super Paul, Wild Bill & Larell Mele into the mix too. Looks like we have something new in the works. Do we have a volunteer commissioner and MC?

    The independent invasion has put MLE to shame. Even Wingbowl as fake as it is , had more intensity and drama than the latest chilli cookoff. Sonya cannot be happy with her performance. Tim expression was even worse.

    Registration is open for MLE taco contest in Atmore Alabama 3/29 . It will cost you $400 to $500 to book a flight not including car rental or cab. The select few that parlay their winnings like Shoudt and Chestnut can sit back and travel cost free

    I enjoyed meeting BB in Orlando over the weekend. He said he was not allowed to eat chili for fear he would outshine everyone. He seemed nice so I treated him to lunch at Krystal’s. My shock was when I ate 7 and he only ate 2.

    Aside from the top four finishers the rest of the field paid their own way and it was probably a struggle on their part to shell out that airfare. Money is no issue for Joey and Bob . They made enough loot in contest winnings to parlay the rest on airfare. Matt comes from a wealthy family and Tim hit the jackpot on who wants to be a millionaire.
