Wow. I think that’s the shortest contest I’ve ever heard of. That would be like a thoroughbred running 1/2 of a furlong. If you look away for very long, then look back, it’s over. Anyway It’s good to see the three of you, Bubba, SP, and LTL come in 1,2,3.
Was there any money for second and third?

“Anonymous” if you’re up at 1:07 A.M. with all that on your mind you need another outlet, or possibly some help. Anyway, Eatfeats is merely a messenger of news — not the initiator. And so if you don’t like what’s posted, simply don’t visit. 🙂 That’s an easy resolution.
Also, it’s not “blink” of legal action it’s “brink.”

Good ol’ Dale Boone stirrin’ the pot. You need to stir the pot or else the stew will burn. And who wants to eat burnt stew?

Mega no offense but pot stirring is one thing going ballistic and yelling at the sponsor is another. I have nothing against Dale when Dale beat me fair and square I didn’t complain, When Dale was the benefactor of a decision against me I didn’t complain. Me I completely blew his doors off and he freaks out. Dale called me a cheater and a liar and several 4 lettered words. I have absolutly no use for him any longer I always gave him the benefit of the doubt but he can’t stop himself from acting like a jerk.

Where is the video? This is gold, and no one got it on video?

I like Characters, but yelling at the Sponsor is biting the Hand that Feeds and bad for CE. It’s hard enough for these Eating organizations to find someone willing to pony up some money for a contest.
I certainly empathize with getting an ass kicking, but sounds like Boone lacks any Humility whatsoever. AICE’s problem now, I guess.

If Dale truly didn’t know that the rules were changed from a one minute contest to a first to 20 contest, I could imagine what was going through his head when all of a sudden it was over and someone else is screaming about being the winner. He could have been pacing himself for the full minute with those peppers expecting to eat close to 40. I wouldn’t handle myself that way, but that is just me.

Carey, the rules WEREN’T changed. Bubba doesn’t say that they were in his email. Read carefully.

He says “The contest was supposed to be 1 minute but in reality
it was the first to 20 large jalepeno Peppers.”
That sounds to me like the rules were changed. When was it supposed to be 1 minute, why did Dale and Bubba both assume it was going to be 1 minute, and at what point was it changed to a race to 20?

I’ve had to think about posting this for awhile, but Dale, you brought this on….
It always was a one minute contest…jalapenos were to be eaten one at a time, you weren’t supposed to even pick up the next one until you “showed” you had finished what was in your mouth…I thought for a minute, they would both be disqualified, and I was going to win…
But, in the eventual overtime, it was a first to twenty contest – sort of still following the above rules, and Bubba cleaned Dale’s clock….I would have liked to win $500, but Bubba ended up eating about 40 Jalapenos in all, and that should cover his doctor bill for a new rear end.
As the line made famous by Jed Donuhue goes, I’m sure the Bubbster was in the “seventh circle of hell” as he worshipped the porcelin god later…
I have tried to put up with Dale, and actually sort-of enjoyed his antics in the past (ya gotta admit, it’s a good show), but this was too much. This was worse than his yelling at Carlene in Atlanta – which was already past the line. His screaming and yelling at our sponsor, screaming at us with a couple hundred people watching-that we were all “cheating New Yorkers” -Bubba and Larry from New York?!?, and he was still raising hell after the rest of us had left, claiming he has been cheated, crying, and looking like a giant, fat, sweating, baby. Not even the presence of his mom could get him to behave. I’m still willing to be civil to him, but Dale, you really, really, really, screwed the pooch on this one!!
It takes a lot to embarrass me – since I’m the first to look and act like an idiot, BUT, if IFOCE ever thought about giving him yet another chance….don’t do it!! AICE, enjoy the Mouth from the South show, he’s all yours!!
And Dale, you need some anger management, a spanking from your momma, or at least a diaper change!! Sorry, pal, this time you went too far….

Carey, your reading comprehension is awful. “In reality” means “in effect.” It doesn’t mean there was a rule change.

Anonymous, come on now. How dumb is that statement? Bubba says it was supposed to be a minute long, meaning that it was a timed event ending in one minute, with the winner being the one that ate the most in that minute. He then says that the contest was the first one to eat 20 was the winner. And you are telling me there was no rule change? Regardless, I think it was cleared up by Paul.
Also, “in reality” doesn’t mean “in effect.” In reality suggests that something is not what it seems. In effect is the complete opposite. For example, you think that you know what you are talking about, but ‘in reality’ you are a jackass.
