Great photo of Juliet who is ready to battle. With four ladies of distinction, Sonya, Juliet, Maria Edible and Larell Marie, there is a “real” women’s division. I cannot imagine Juliet ever besting Sonya, Sonya is just so far ahead. Edible is new but colorful and a real asset, and LMM is not only colorful and dedicated but brings a sparkling personality and enthusiasm to everything, the real refresher. MLE can create lots of opportunities with this nucleus, weave them into contests or make special events. While Sonya will always want to best any eater, male or female, she is the Queen who will likely never be dethroned. And she seems to have no intention of retiring nor does she have any reasons to.

The finals in Thailand may be a great opportunity for Juliet to beat her. She had a rough time in Singapore. I agree about Maria S. and LM.

Hmm & Anon 542 – thx so much guys (gals? lol). Really appreciate that and look forward to more opportunities in ’12 to broaden the awareness of females in CE. Am already psyched for PB&B 🙂

Yes, the women are all worthy of great attention. LMM continues her enthusiasm, want to see more of “Edible.” Having Juliet eat three more wontons than Sonya sets things up as a close race though personally I think Sonya was ill, think that was mentioned. I am going to predict that she will be both very well and extremely competitive and leap ahead of Juliet. Oh…….but am I wrong? Who gets to go to the finals? I assume both and even if that wasn’t planned, I feel sure MLE would not miss this opportunity to have a race between those ladies.

Yeah, it’s hard to think Sonya was not very sick, but maybe not, because no one is talking about Sonya being sick, not even the woman herself. Maybe she was just feigning illness because she did so poorly, like Koby used jawthritis as an excuse for losing to Joey. Juliet just may be too much for Sonya right now. If she could possibly finish ahead of Sonya in Thailand it would set things up nicely next July 4th.

Though Brian Seiken’s prediction of Juliet beating Sonya in 2011 might not happen, I bet she will in 2012. Brian is a smart guy and has is usually right.

What a pity. A legend such as Stephanie Torres had to screw things up for herself to compete in a contest for mere chump change.

I would hardly call Stephanie a legend. She is probably the second or third best female eaterin the states right now, but a legend?
No legends are teenagers.
