Congrats Bob on a huge win. Imagine that, Brad getting spanked by an AICE guy. The d- bag himself was over heard on the phone in the bathroom that the contest was rigged and he was winning the whole time but ESPN fixed the numbers so that he wouldn’t win. What a cry baby. Here’s to you Brad and Beautiful Brian! Spanked by the guys at AICE. Who’s the chump change now!

Thought he was gonna win EASILY! All the smack that was talked and he runs off to the bathroom as soon as the results are announced. Just another no class ASS.
Human Vacuum 5th, Lunatic 4th 2 wing difference. Lyle looked like death the entire second round and put down enough to get to the final. From the way Brad looked there is no way he at either of the Denny’s burgers without puking or laxative aids. Broken Wing and Lord of the Wings looked comfortable throughout. Sixburgh was pretty green at the end. Lots of vomiting after the contest in the bathroom.
158!!!!!! Lord of the wings!!!!!! I ate a wing after the contest and it was pretty awful tasting, plain and just deep fried. Greasy as hell. I don’t think my dog could eat 158 of those wings and he is a 180 lb. German Rott. Kuhns is a BAD ASS!!!!!!!!! Rumor has it he was in a car wreck before the contest (totalled his car), dusted off and went straight to the contest. BAD ASS!

Maybe if they knew Brad was from PA he would’ve won. At least he didn’t get DQed in the first round and try and blame it on a bone.

The radio broadcast was horrible. They didn’t know much about the contestants(they didn’t know brad was from PA, maybe he would’ve won if they did.) It was a bunch of guys hanging out with mentions of Wing Madness thrown in for color. I know Brad usually has pretty sporadic numbers, but he put down 104 in the first round of Wing Bowl, I find it hard to believe he did less than 124.

you guys seem to think you own this forum because nobody comes to the defense of BB and Brad. FYI “Bitchslap”, you probably were scared shitless to travel to E 110th by yourself so you brought along that dumptruck for protection.

OK, I think this may be just about enough bullshat here.
You want to know about Pittsburgh’s Wing contest & what happened last night ? Here ya go:
1) Lord of the Wings is Bob Kuhns, AKA Killer Kuhns. He is an AICE eater, and he’s not a very big guy.
He also happens to be a very humble, respectful, friendly dude who knows how to act. He’s won this contest multiple times. I don’t claim he’s the greatest eater in the world. But I’ll tell you this. If you think you can walk in and beat him at Pittsburgh Wing Madness, YOU HAD BETTER HAVE SOME BIG KAHONES !!!!! Because plain and simple, he does. His total last night was 138 WINGS, a new Pittsburgh Wing Contest record.
2) I am Ted Wilson, formerly Captain Butthead, now the Sixburgh Psycho. I am NOT and AICE eater nor am I an IFOCE eater. In fact, this contest is the ONLY one I compete in every year. I don’t claim to be some unbelievable talent, and have never ‘stunned and amazed’ everyone by claiming to have completed some unbelievable eating challenge. But once again, I’ll tell you this. If you think you can walk in and beat me at Pittsburgh Wing Madness, YOU HAD BETTER HAVE SOME BIG KAHONES !!!!!
My total last night was 124 WINGS, and I had a hell of a time eating that many.
3) Broken Wing is Pete Maurizio. He is also an AICE eater. He’s a big guy and can really pack it in !
Also an extremely nice guy. He’s won this contest multiple times as well. Once again, not sure he’s better than you or your buddy who ate up half of the IHOP building. But once again, I’ll say it. If you think you can walk in and beat him at Pittsburgh Wing Madness, YOU HAD BETTER HAVE SOME BIG KAHONES !!!!! Broken Wing ate somewhere in the neighborhood of 116 WINGS last night. Before last night, he held the record in this contest at 136 I believe.
Seeing a pattern here ? Well I’ll add to it. We are all three Pittsburgh natives, and take pride in the fact that year after year, people come rolling in from who knows where with their big portfolios and LEAVE EMPTY HANDED. I have never lost to anyone but the two guys mentioned above.
These wings are something else. They are pretty big. ESPN doesn’t shop all over at every restaurant for miles trying to fing the smallest, fastest wings they can find in order to get their totals up. They have no sauce to speak of (seasoned salt), and they bring them all out at the start and they sit exposed and cooling down during the entire contest. By the end, it’s akin to gnawing on pigs’ ears trying to get these things down. But in some weird way, I think that’s the way it should be. It’s a Pittsburgh contest and you better be TOUGH if you want to compete.
As far as Brad Scuillio goes, I don’t know the kid from Adam. But it’s time to come back to reality. Wanna know what reality is in this case ? I’ll tell you what I saw. I saw a cocky kid with his hair spiked come strutting in with about 8 quarts of his own bottled water and get put right in his place. I saw the totals and the kid had a pretty good first round. But by mid-second round, I saw what I’ve seen time and time again. The blank stare, a whole lot of chicken in his cheeks, struggling with his bottled water to get these things down. And that’s the same way he looked through that round & the speed round.
Did he take fourth place ? Or was it fifth ? I HAVE NO IDEA. That’s what I saw last night.
Now, he and everyone else can whine about this thing being unfair, or fixed. That quite frankly is sad.
All he need do is remember that moment when he couldn’t get any more chicken in him at a good pace. That’s when he lost. And I think he was doing more than making a phone call in that bathroom afterwards. The wings are counted by a bunch of interns who don’t know ANY of the eaters. Interns change every year I believe, but still the same people come out on top.
It’s time someone gives a little credit where credit is due.
Congrats Bob. You are a man. Handed me my arse again. AND I ADMIT IT.

I remember Ted calling Menchetti out in an email. He called him out for what he really is which is a liar and a jackass . . GIve him credit for he calls it as he sees it . Menchetti used Speedeat.com as a vice to blast the guy because he couldnt accept losing to him in wings. He had no defense other than a weak comeback “I got bigger fish to fry. I have Ed Jarvis on the other line”

The whole thing with Gentleman Joe was he was smoking a friggin cigarette between rounds at the Pittsburgh Contest. I had the people running it make him put it out after he blew a big puff of smoke in my face, and he proceeded to start trashing me on Speedeat thereafter. I let him know what might happen to him if he continued and he stopped. Never did really apologize, though……
He’s another prime example of someone who has all these great credentials, but came to the Pittsburgh Wing Contest multiple times and all he ever got to show for it was a third place I believe.

Brad looked very intimidated when he made it to the contest. I seen the look of fear in his eyes when that BIG guy wlaked up to him right before the eating began.

Sorry to dissappear early but the I really wanted to get back to Cleveland as early as possible.
P.S. I’ve never seen so many good lookin chicks in one place at one time in my life. And lil wing had the hottest manager ever.

bravo lord of the wings! bobby is a gracious and deserving champion. very impressive win considering the nature of the chicken in the contest. ted put it perfectly when he spoke of it intentionally being a TOUGH contest. the wings get harder and harder to eat as they cool. the grease flavor and aroma are overwhelming and they arent a strip and a swallow after the first round. you have to chew the hell out of them. it seemed like every single one past eighty brought on an urge to reverse. tut ALWAYS hits the nail on the head with his blog posts. to cap some of what he stated: i DID have a bone to pick with brad and in my usually fashion i flatly came out and told him what i thought about him bashing AICE, arnie and pete. i also let him know why i took issue with it and the impression that he was giving everyone of himself. he was understanding and our conversation about it resolved the issue, at least within me. i think all and all he is a decent guy, just misunderstood due to his precontest antics and smack talking. i hope he isnt foolish enough to get goaded by another AICE hater into videoing another rank/smack talk session. it does nothing but breed ill will and contempt towards him. bb if you have issue with arnie you need to keep it between you two not you and AICE/AICE eaters. i AM leaving CE after 2010 chili and i will always remember how tough it is to win in pittsburgh and how tough their eaters are. they are a great bunch of guys and they (ted, meat) also prove that just because you arent affiliated with an organization it doesnt mean you arent a world class competitive eater. after my first year at pittsburgh wcs i knew that it would take some big kahones to win there. all i ever hoped to do was have a career day and maybe get that trophy (one of the most coveted in CE). i never came close. you pittsburgh guys are tough SOBs.
Good Eats!

The post that Ted(Sixburgh Psycho) posted is true. We do want to keep it in Pittsburgh and we plan to keep it here, as you would to if we came to your state. It was a good night, Bob was on his game and Ted pulled away from me in the second round. So I’ll be looking forward to next year. ESPN does not pad any numbers, it’s a fair contest. Mark even though you going to retire I still think you’ll be coming back one more time. Brad did make it there just in time to compete traffic was bad, but he still ate well.
As Ted said the wings are not wings for big numbers!
Nice job to all that competed and congrats to Bob and Ted for handing to me.

VAC so to clear the air , there are several eaters in your organization that i happen to like . Regardless of the fact that we got off to a rocky start a few years ago i consider you one of those that i admire as an eater and an individual. I agree with what you said about keeping the bad blood between myself and the asshole. To clarify the 3:55 comment from anonymous, i did not goad Brad into doing the video. Brad approached me several times in Buffalo about doing the video because he felt he had to get things off his chest about Pete in the worst way. In fact , i knew very little about Pete and i had no reason to bash him from a personal standpoint. At first he decided the best place would be the Holiday Inn bar that we were staying at. Then we finally agreed on the hotel parking lot very early the next morning. It was no biggie to me at first but i couldnt pass up an opportunity to get some digs in on my good friend Mr Chowhound . In the long run Brad and i both got what we wanted . Just for the record the video has amassed 2.076 hits on youtube and still going strong. Whether or not its good or bad publicity , they flock to it, so we must have done something right.

Rhonda? Rhonda? You there Rhonda? The entry won’t be complete without Rhonda’s “expert” analysis. I feel so incomplete……seriously I have a have fairly high regard for RE’s posts on here but she/he/it stuck their neck out really far calling for Brad to win this contest because he was the most talented wing eater in the field….hands down. Steak posted, your turn Rhonda. Step up and eat your crow. Quickly now…..while it’s warm.
He still did a great job getting to the final table but he wasn’t the one hoisting the crystal at the end. I like what was said earlier…..you don’t have to be a member of IFOCE to be a great eater. But being a member seems to make people think they are automatically a superstar in the sport. That is BS and that arrogant mindset continues to get staler by the day. My opinion of RE continues a downward spiral with every minute that goes by without a dignified apology post.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.

Anonymous, I didn’t say that Brad would definitely win, though I was pulling for him. I said if he didn’t win it would be because he wasn’t focused. He still did okay, but he can do much better.

I think it is quite clear that Brad doesn’t have the capacity. To go in the bathroom and cry on the phone is uncalled for. He wasn’t winning at all the entire time. It’s just an excuse because he lost to his so called minor league. He talked all that crap against aice and got it handed to him. Rhonda I was there and he looked focused Lord of the Wings, Sixburg Psycho, and Broken Wing are just better than him not to mention The Human Vacuum is also. He lost because he just wasn’t good enough period.
