    Is this the year that Geoff gives Joey a serious run for his money at Coney?? Joey is virtually impossible to beat at hot dogs, so Geoff would need to improve by 6-8 hot dogs over last year, and Joey would have to have a really bad day for Geoff to slide in for a 2023 upset at Coney.

    Stranger things have happened though, and Geoff has been impossible to beat recently. But got dogs is not his strongest food. Does anyone think Joey might retire in the next 1-2 years?

    I feel like we might see some “independent” eaters sign with MLE once Joey is out, since there is so much more competition for first place at Coney with Joey gone. Would be interested to see who would come into MLE if Joey announced he’s going to retire after 2023…who would be the next “face” of the sport??

    Thats what I mean, and I don’t think Geoff would want to be the “face” of MLE anyway.

    I’m not sure if Miki and Nick are how MLE would promote the sport/league–I think they are looking for another dominant eater (like Joey) at Coney, with an ability to give some good interviews. Seriously they need to re-think their contract terms to attract more talent.

    Miki and Nick make a good story. They have entertainment value. He’s a good eater. She is a great eater.

    Geoff is an amazing eater. JWebby will likely become better and better. It would be nice to see corbuccieats come back and compete too. Maybe Pat Bertoletti will compete more?

    A few top indy eaters could make it wild, especially with some of their hot dog numbers in the low 50s, now take into account that they dont eat nathans hd but with practice i bet they could get into the 60s

    Nice one, Heavy D troll. Here’s a bigger stat – he’s one of the few MLE members not named Joey, Miki or Geoff who has outright won an MLE title in the past several years.

    A W is W regardless of field. Cause I’m sure that’ll be the comeback. Heavy D is harmless. Him and his wife are nice people. He has fun, and doesn’t go after anyone. I don’t see him hurting anyone unlike the people on here that think it’s fun to attack others
