I’m amazed, after how easy Koby made it seem last week. I think he may have overdone the preparations. Both Joey and Pat had “trained” a lot less this week, maybe Koby peaked too early, like a week too early.
It was hot and very humid, notice few eaters ate their best. As I said after the first Chattanooga Qualifer this year, the Krystals are a tad tougher – Kenny from Krystals told me, it’s a “tightrope act” to figure when to pull them out, and put them on the trays. A one to five minute difference in timing, makes a HUGE difference in the number consumed. Add the intense humidity both times in ChattyTown messing up the timing sequence more, and you can see both the Qualifier, and Finals results.
Congrats to Hall for his 63, and Pat on his 85 – these two bucked the trend. Also, Juliet Lee ate a clean 55 – which would have qualified her two weeks ago, and is more impressive when you look at everyone’s finish. And, hail Ben “The Turtle” – he won the sackful challenge – with a minor assist form his wife!! (thanks for the VIP pass, Ben)
Enough technical garbage!! Now the really important stuff – no one here really made that “final push” for Best Dressed Eater – yeah, I know they had their minds on something else – but the Lewisville Tamale eaters are looking good in the looking good sweepstakes.

Congrats to Joey. He proved that when he is on top of his game no one can beat him or even come a close second. Koby got jobbed out of 2nd place though. Taking away 2 burgers when both he and Pat are within that much is not fair to Koby.

I will admit I did terribly. I have no excuses, I just didn’t get the job done on Sunday. And I will give credit where credit is due. Juliet at 55 super clean, and I am duly impressed. She is a great eater, and much deserving of her ranking. I am an honest person, and I just tell it like it is. I will point out the positive when I see it. Congrats, Juliet. You really are amazing.
It was a great contest, and I was just happy to be a part of it. Congrats to Joey, Pat, Koby, and all the eaters who did amazingly well.

I think Koby is no longer wanted. The I.F.O.C.E. has used him up and now they’ve spit him out. Koby should stop eating for those jerks. Also, rankings don’t mean anything anymore. It’s all who they like.
