Koby, Joey & Eater X in 1 minute contest on GMA
Thanks Wyatt Earp. A video clip of Kobayashi, Joey Chestnut and Tim “Eater X” Janus in a one minute Nathan’s hot dog eating contest on Good Morning America this morning can be viewed at http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=2142642 Joey Chestnut was declared the winner with 7.5 hot dogs in one minute, but Kobayashi’s and Tim’s totals were not announced (and apparently not counted). George Shea stated that Kobayashi would attend the Johnsonville bratwurst contest in Wisconsin.
If that video clip does not satisfy your competitive eating on Good Morning America fix, video clips of Kate Stelnick from January are available: Segment 1, Segment 2

That almost looked rigged to help add excitement for the contest.

Who the hell writes under an alias and then demands another person to reveal their identity?
Then you call me a bastard! You’ve got to be joking.
Back to the topic. Good luck to Chestnut, Simpson, Bertoletti, and Thomas.
That showing on GMA did look like Kobayashi was sandbagging it. I believe he did it knowing that if he took it seriously and Joey still won, he’d have no excuse for the loss. At least now he can say “I wasn’t really trying.”

I can reveal who Wyatt is. And I might if he doesn’t stop saying stupid stuff like, “I believe he did it knowing that if he took it seriously and Joey still won, he’d have no excuse for the loss.” You’re not as clever as you think you are.

Joey Chestnut may have won, but it was very obvious that Takeru Kobayashi was holding back a little bit. That was a very wise decision. You should never underestimate your competition and always study them. It must’ve made Joey Chestnut a bit more confident than before believing that he actually beat Kobayashi. The result would be that Joey would not go to his full potential thinking that Kobayashi lost to him and that he was better. I just wanted to state that out.
